Never understood what people see in this film. A lot of fuss over nothing.
Each to their own I suppose.
Nevertheless. I hope the new one lives up to your expectations Robb.
Yeah I'm looking forward to T2. Reckon it will be excellent, if it stays close to the book.
Get Carter
Long Good Friday
the third man
the wicker man
don't look now
and i'd be half tempted to claim walkabout as a british film, obviously the setting couldn't have worked over here, but director/writer/most of the crew/most of the cast were british
oh and withnail and i
Lock stock and snatch. 28 days later was good too.
Walkabout is a brilliant movie. Quite disturbing in parts. Made even better once you've spent time in the outback and seen just how desolate and bleak it is.
Four Lions has to be up there.
And the first Green Street

yeah, wouldn't have worked quite so well in the peak district (!)
but you can tell that roeg started life as a cinematographer, he makes beautiful looking films
The Italian Job
Get Carter
Lockstock,
Human Traffic
28 Days Later
Trainspotting
On a side note. I've rated Danny Boyle for a while, since seeing Trainspotting in my teens. He went even further up in my estimations after watching the Olympic opening ceremony in 2012.
SC UM with Ray Winstone is a good British movie and the original Italian Job is a classic
KInd Hearts & Coronets - Absolute classic
All the Carry on movies
Ooooohhhhhhhhhh Matron

Agreed
I've never really liked Monty Python. Probably blasphemy but anyone else feel the same?
Also all the old Hammer Horrors with Peter Cushing etc were absolute class.
The devil rides out is brilliant
