This has been worrying me also trueblue. We already have an inflated squad (especially defenders) and if we only add 5 of the possible 9 we still have too many and it doesn't seem like the exodus of players leaving some of us hoped for.
For sure the numbers don't add up and this is indeed a bigger, messier situation than was probably given credit for
I personally think Meggo's boxing clever and filling the positions he deems necessary before moving others on, i can him loaning a few out to be fair, i think he's doing it correctly, we need to fill positions and i'd rather be over manned than under manned to be fair
Personally I think its hard to call. There's those i'd get rid of like Potter, O'Conner, there's those who I would have got rid of that improved under Megson like Beevers and JJ, and then there's those I think we'll get rid of but would actually like to see them be given a proper chance as I dont feel they have yet, like M.Morrison and Reynolds.
Ps I used to be "I'm Spartacus" on 606 but that thieving dingle swine "I was Spartacus" has stolen my username. I WILL be having words.........

Is it true you've transfer listed Spurr?
Even though he's a massive enigma and I don't want to see him go, as an outside bet I can see JJ leaving. Spurr is almost certainly on his way now by the sounds of it. Potter if he goes won't be missed that much, and I don't just mean by the fans.
As for Beevers leaving, I don't think he will and even though he's disappointed over the last couple of seasons I'd certainly want to keep hold of him even if it's not for a starting berth. And if he was to depart then I think he'd be aiming a little higher than that pit village.
