"Several federal judges have temporarily halted the deportation of visa holders."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And as it stands they are being deported.
Whether that's right or wrong is a different argument. But judges can't just flaunt his executive orders.
This is part of an appeal and as such is. completely different.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The judges have stopped them being deported though, as I believe they're arguing it isn't constitutional, partly as the department of justice weren't consulted prior to the order being executed.
Trump won't last the year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Quite.
Arguing and appealing. Thank you 👍
No "flouting" his executive order then.
Which is what I said.
Now do me a favour and start sewing up a "Welcome Donald - I love you" flag. 👍

The biggest mistake Cameron made was having the fwcking vote in the first place.
So from not listening to the people they decide to have a vote, get a result and then decide not to listen to the people.
Fwcking jokesters.
Honestly.

I certainly wasn't embarrassed.
Might give those in Europe something to think about as they devise even more ways in which they want to punish us for having the audacity to leave their little cosy club.
Fwck them
So the people should just sit down and shut up?
Let the government do what they want?
Even when, as is the case in Amercia, the majority didn't vote for it?
Just as the majority didn't vote for a Tory government in this country.
Our Daily Mail readers on here would happily take away our right to protest. I'm sure they'd happily take away many of our rights in fact, and as we know "our" Tory government is about to do just that by ripping up the Human Rights Act.
Pfft I say. Pfft indeed.
Hope he washed his hand afterwards.

No, GN.
The problem that the current system favours minority representation; that election by and large is heavily skewed towards a select segment of the population who have the financial backing to run for office; and that any vote is seen as a wholescale endorsement of the winning candidate's entire proposals for four years. Just to name 3 major flaws in the current system.
Like it or not Curly and Ginger are spot on with this.

They voted him in and now have to live with it.

Why was it good for you?
I laughed out loud at your second sentence.
As for Brexit, it was so poorly framed and poorly argued that the people had no idea what they were voting for outwith a few basic themes.
I fully support the triggering of Article 50.
I fully believe that our government, through our parliamentary structure, should fully scrutinise the "deal" that we get and have the right to accept or reject the deal our government secure.
That's democracy chaps. You can't just pick and choose which bits of democracy you like and you can't demand that democracy only takes place once every five years.

No of course not.
Many have done something and their MP's have reigned as a point of principle from the Labour Party as they don't believe they will be properly representing their constituents. I admire them but lest see where they are next time there's a local election and they don't belong to a mainstream party.
I expect and even require our parliament members to do the best for our country when leaving but fwck all these hand wringing mentalists who are just hell bent on stopping the process and trying to have it re voted for.
As I said, fwck off. You're wasting me time, my intelligence and my money. Go and do the job you were elected to do.
Cwnts.
I saw odds of 4/1 on Trump either being impeached or assassinated within 6 months. Worth a punt?
I admire his doing what he said but you just knew that those affected would not stand for being trampled over in a way that his bully tactics have worked in business.
He will learn that he cannot rule with an iron fist. That happens in dictatorships like Russia.

That would be returning to the state that allowed him to get voted in in the first place. Not listening to the people.
