There were many people ridiculing Chelsea for buying Luiz back from PSG. Where are the now ?

As you already mentioned there are few players that have stood out so far Luiz, Azpi, Kante and Costa. Personally I would give it to Azpi. He has been phenomenal this seaaon. Also, he is the played the most minutes this season.

I would like to see someone like Moses get it. I don't think the previous Managers gave him a fair crack of the whip after 3 good pre-seasons and then they shipped him out as if they were judging players on big-name reputations rather than actual performances out in the middle. This year he's been given a fair go and he generally hasn't let us down or been looking like a weak link in a good team.

Having said that, Kante has been like having 4 extra players with the amount of ground he has covered, so I wouldn't mind seeing him get it either.

Kante is fantastic for you, was brilliant last night.

Luiz has been marvelous for us so far this season,especially when you consider that he's been carrying an injury since the Man City game .

Kante is an absolute revelation and is already starting to become a legend at the club .

I've always been a massive fan of Luiz and was chuffed to bits when he came back!!

I'm glad he's proved the haters wrong and I know there were alot on here....

Luiz has always been underrated, it's actually quite annoying in a way the lack of appreciation he got from opposition fans as a result of some sort of narrative the media has to spin off about him being the crazy defender from Brazil who's better off in midfield. Nice to see a lot of pundits be forced to praise him this season.

Hard to pick between Costa and Luiz for me. With Kante, Azi and Hazard next.

I am still not convinced with Kante. Lots of energy but terrible when pressed or with ball to his feet.

Lamps thinks Azpi has been our player of the season so far and he could be right. For me there are 4 candidates and this is my order..

1. Costa
2. Azpi
3. Kante
4. Luiz...

The difference between these 4 is wafer thin and will probably change by end of the season.

You wouldn't have Hazard among them Biggish? He's been a little quiet last few games but was flying for quite a prolonged period when he couldn't stop scoring.and was at the centre of everything.

I think its worth considering that with all the high intensity Kante brings, he also brings some erratic passing.

Excellent player for particular games, but theres been a fair few games this year where he has been poor. Although, I would still rate him ahead of Matic and Fabregas in this current system. Each of our CM seem to come with weaknesses but strengths, so it might be useful to change our formation to a three in midfield.

You're both right really. Kante has been absolutely magnificent this year - but it's also true that he has his limitations. That he still has room for improvement to his game fills me with confidence for the future. Perhaps that is why Conte is still looking for the ideal counter-weight to play alongside Kante. Someone with the combative qualities of Matic, but also the passing skills of Fabregas. Not easy to find.
