We're still in this, but you wonder for how much longer. Looks a matter of time till one of their counters pays off. Will be hard to mount much pressure with Gabriel and Monreal at fullback. Midfield hasn't looked too cohesive on the ball: hardly a surprise with Coq and Ox.

That's what's so annoying about him throwing a strop if the manager tries to rest him. I don't get why you wouldn't want a match break when you're playing crap. Fatigue is a form killer, he must know that by now. Not like he's Iwobi's age, jeez.

All our early momentum was lost by Alexis holding on to the ball too long and getting easily dispossessed. Their goal came initially from this, yet people seem to be shy of calling him out.
Barely completed a pass in that half, started so many of Chelsea's counter attacks.

Hopefully he comes into the second half with a better attitude.

Probably be better dropping him out wide and getting Giroud on though.

Could that be because opposition defences adapt to the players on the pitch? They're more willing to let us cross when we won't make much of them

Well he will get FA Cup week off. Send him to Chile or something.
