Were you happy with AVB or Sherwood? Spurs finished ahead of Utd and Liverpool in those times.

You really think a new manager will lead you to success over City and Chelsea?
------
Not necessarily, but a better chance of doing so than under the current one which at the moment is zero, zilch, nada. I'm fed up of rolling over and bottling it in the same way year after year, just like you were probably fed up when Spurs used to get battered by all the big boys every year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal can go down this route but a proper reboot can take seasons. A full change in philosophy and massive squad changes. Do Arsenal fans have the patience? Unless the assumption is a new manager could get more out of existing players? Maybe, maybe not. Look at those lineups, Chelsea just have better players across the board.

Yea but this assumes Tottenhams improvement has been very recent. It's actually been a gradual improvement going back I would myself say 9 years now. Jol was the first manager to beat Chelsea in the league for years. Redknapp the first to do the same to Arsenal. The win at Arsenal was the first since 1993. My point is changing the manager might not work. Like I said, I take the criticism Wenger gets and much is fair.
I am happy with Mourinho. Just the results have been poor but performances generally have been exceptional.

Wenger won two FA Cups quite recently. In answer to your question, if Poch consistently got top 4 and occasionally won the FA Cup he would be allowed to stay for as long he wanted. I think we are more realistic than Arsenal fans.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So we should be comparing ourselves with Spurs who are a smaller club with a tiny budget in comparison to us? No thanks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok but you are comparing yourselves to City and Chelsea, who have vastly more resources. United too I would say. It's like Arsenal fans haven't moved on in two decades. They haven't yet realised that with exception of last seasons madness, the winners of the Premiership in recent years and been the top three richest clubs over and over again. It's like they think it's a coincidence or something?
Why does their tinpot club have a right to break the mould and expect to win the Premiership title just because they did a couple of times before? You aren't special. Like everyone else, you are fighting for the scraps the three richest clubs occasionally miss out on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal have generated similar amount of revenue to Chelsea for past few seasons
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chelsea don't need revenue. Their wage bill, highest in the league, is because of the sugar daddy, as you well know. Point is that Arsenals spending needs to have some relationship with revenue. Maybe they can spend more, but outspend Chelsea and City? Ballocks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well they have outspent Chelsea on transfer in past five seasons: fact!!
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/2644437/tottenham-net-spend-last-five-years-1million-manchester-city-402-5m/amp/?client=safari
Wenger may well be past his sell by date that's fair to say. Twenty odd years at the same club is very unusual in the modern game. Amongst his achievements in that time include two double winning seasons and an undefeated season which are remarkable plus the consecutive number of CL qualifications and overseeing the migration to a new stadium.
Most clubs supporters would be ecstatic with that kind of return even if recent years have been less productive. The problem with Arsenal fans is the lack of respect they show to him. You would think the worst culprits would be the millennial snowflakes but what is surprising to me is the vitriol and disrespect shown by their older fans who really should know better. It's the ungrateful manner in which they voice their concerns that makes other fans cringe not the issues. This is what Arsenal fans fail to understand and I suspect they never will. It makes for great entertainment however and I thank them for that.
"Ungrateful manner" please explain. No-one is ungrateful for the undoubted success he achieved, but things like top 4 qualification and winning nothing most years isn't something that's going to bait everyone's breath. No-one at the top sees Arsenal as a true threat anymore, we're actually seen as a bit of a joke on the pitch tbh. Wonder why that is?
Arsenal fans are very funny though, they love the club to a point where it literally dirves so many of them mental, like that old fella Claude, seriously he needs to reasses his life if he spends every penny he has going the games home and away to only end up arguing with a little deluded angry midgit decked head to toe in Arsenal gear while a big depressed lookign fat lad stands between them.

He's saying he'll never watch them again unless Wenger goes. A middle aged man acting like a child
It's like I said, as though they haven't been paying attention to how money made the title race generally uncompetitive. They finished second last season, once again not good enough apparently. Last season was an exception though with Leicester.
I'm currently watching Arsenal fan TV and Troopz is on a rant
All "fam" and Blad" do London lads really talk this badly?

City and United's wage bill is bigger than Chelsea's
Arsenal is not far off Chelsea.
Chelsea make more commercial revenue which allows them to spend on players Spurs and Arsenal can't or won't pay for
The fact is, the only sets of fans that will be happy if Wenger extends, are rival club's fans.
There's a way to go about things, however. He doesn't deserve the abuse he gets at times, but at the same time fans have to voice their concerns. The power of social media unfortunately allows any idiot to give their opinion, and apparently there's an audience for the loudest, stupidest people.
Comparisons with other managers are silly. Wenger has had a decade since the Emirates move to really kick on and challenge. We haven't once seen a proper title challenge.
Personally, I backed him until 2011, as I understood the financial situation and the need to sell all our best players. Since then we have seen no change to the same old weaknesses, time and time again they are exposed, it's comical. He's spent a lot of money too, there are no excuses.
Neville is a hypocrite. Time and time again in the big games he commentates over, he mentions how our tactics are wrong, our personnel is wrong, our attitude is wrong. And every time he's proved right. He can't then go on to claim Wenger is doing an "unbelievable" job. He said that to make the idiots on arsenal fan tv look even more like idiots. All he's really done is give them a shout out on sky facking sports.
