Midfielder's dream? He's a bloody wet dream!

For me, you've hit the nail right on the thumb, Sir Knotty. Who have we got to replace him, especially at short notice?
No one.

Been saying for as much as we probably need some defensive options and a gk maybe, we desperately need another Mane type player. Speedster, good movement and not afraid to make the runs, run at players etc.
That first goal was brilliant. We could have been watching Gerrard and Torres!
You get the feeling we have a lot of similar players in the mf/attack Lallana Cout Firm Wijnaldum. Only Mane offers us that pace, Sturridge we need to cash in on in the summer seriously looks like hes lost his pace, scared to stretch his legs due to fear of injury.
Origi, could do with a loan to a PL team maybe next season, think hes done well in parts this season had a nice goal scoring run but not getting enough game time and not showing enough at times. Still young though, one for the future and with Ings back and Origi not doing much out wide should be the option and if we need get some cheap experience to come off the bench and play a squad role.
No T 1, I've got to disagree.
There's only one other player that Sadio comes near to, in thought, reaction, speed.
Luis. No one else comes near.

I purely meant that first goal. It was a carbon copy of Gerrard and Torres at their best.
Mane is an incredible outlet.
Would get into the other big teams in the league I reckon. I'd certainly take him at Arsenal

Got a bit carried away after tonight's result!!
Good point Knotts
Great opening 30 mins. Back to what we were like before Christmas.
We need to keep up the same intensity for the remainder of the season if we have any hope of finishing in the top four.
mane has surprised me how good he is. he also is one of those players that just gets up and get on with it despite getting constantly hacked.
a super player.

Well that should be easier given that we have rest time between matches..
People really underestimate how much of a toll 12 games in 36 days is.. A days rest either side of a game and you have 1 day per game to check and work on players fitness as well as doing drills and working on tactical gameplans for the following match.
Not to mention that I doubt you ever really get to switch off from "match mentality" given the lack of rest.
We played more games than any other team in that period, think saints played two less and some teams played as much as 4 games less.
We also had matip, coutinho and mane out, probably our 3 best players, take the equivalent players from any other top 6 team and they struggle.
Then we had various small illnesses amongst the remaining staff (can played through his) and the need to play players out of position (while cout was out Lallana was moved forward and registered just 1 goal, having got something like 6 goals and 7 assist prior to that run of games)
It was a perfect storm, I feel confident we will now kick on to the end of the season when we can address this lack of depth!
