A cup means a new contract

I respect all that he has done but at the end of the day, the man has got more opportunities than any other managers would at top clubs yet he makes the same old mistakes, same old patterns. From this we can come to conclusion that he has taken Arsenal as far as he can and that he cannot adapt himself any more to suit the required needs of Arsenal.

Due to this, its in his best interest to let go and let some one fresh build on his foundation and take his legacy and vision further.

Nope, fack that .

Not like any of our issues haven't been pointed out by every man and his brother for the last 10 years.

No, he should've walked himself a long time ago, and most Arsenal fans would be happy. Him staying is forcing us to push him out which is what's sad.

He's like a fish. Great when it was fresh but he really is stinking the place out now. Tomorrow he should announce that he is going at the end of the season.

Should have left on a high after either FA cup wins.

Wenger's on £160k a week - hard to feel sorry for him as he hangs on...

Should have left after the Hull cup win.

Should have left when we beat Hull in the FA cup.

He would have left on high.

Anyone feel for Wenger

He doesnt deserve to go out this way. I dont care the mistakes he has made but I cant help but be angry at the players.

You are either confused or clueless. Wenger buys the players and sets the team, so what is your point exactly?

I feel desperately sorry for him. He was broken in that interview.

one positive is, he's finally realised he can't take the club further.

Today feels sad. Feels like the day Wenger has decided to leave. I'm glad he's off but I wish he'd gone on a high

same here. Majority of the fan base may want him out but it doesnt have to end this way.Quite a few kiddy fans who think the best way is for him to go at any costs not realising the traditions we have at the club.

To put it more clearly to thick twets like grand cannon, even when things go downhill with the wife you still separate amicably than burn everything around you.

He deserves better and its sad irts unfolding this way especially in a season where he has chosen to wait before renewing his contract

Today is definitely the day I think he finally realized that the end is here

Let's hope so. Let's hope he goes away.

Funnily enough by that point I thought Arsenal were going to get back to being a team that could go places again, having broken their duck and won something finally. Just not going to happen.

The fact they've failed to build on finally spending some cash (on Sanchez and Ozil) and finally winning something, tells you more than ever that Wenger is done as someone who will compete for the major titles.

Of course. He only wanted what's best for the club
