Total embarrasment to English football.

They can have peak Ronaldo, peak Messi, peak Xavi etc. and they'd still get knocked out in the second round of the CL because they'd have Wenger as manager

They were well in at HT but they fell to pieces like a house of cards. Shameful.

Only ones that could improve City are Ospina, Szczesny and possibly Emi Martinez

I reckon Sanchez will end up at City. I could see Aguero going to Spain and you lot getting Sanchez to replace him.

You can tell by looking at them who has the will and desire for the cause.

Sanchez is always up for it and Ospina did what he could tonight but in my opinion the rest of the squad are lightweight pretty boys who just don't care either enough or at all.

Ospina - did what he could

Koscielny - Important to the team which collapsed after he went off although probably would have happened anyway if not to the same degree.

Mustafi - Solid enough in the league not a top CB.

Bellerin - Fast but zero guts or desire - the ultimate fairweather player.

Gibbs - at best a backup player. His career is a joke.

Xhaka - Cacka. £35 million is just disgusting.

Coquelin - Second rate player who fancies himself as an enforcer. Unfortunately he has neither the skill nor the fear factor like a Viera.

Iwobi - How in the heavens has this thing become first choice? He is a travesty.

Ozil - A complete fairy. Looks good when he can rely on everyone else to do the work for him i.e the German national side.

Ox - Average league player, shouldn't be anyway near a team that wants to compete in Europe.

Sanchez - For his own sake he needs to move on. Ability and desire wise he's so far ahead of the rest of the side it's embarrassing.

Subs

Gabriel - Third rate rubbish. You're telling me you couldn't coach a young British kid to be better than this abomination? I wouldn't want him at Wolves and our defence is abysmal.

Walcott - If I start I'll never stop....

Giroud - Good on his day.

Think Pep still likes Wilshere.

Wouldn't at all surprised if you're heavily inked with him this summer. Only 12 months to go on his contract, and I think his Arsenal dream is over.

Great post mate.

Especially loved the smiley at the end.

Really helped ram the point home.

Oh, hang on a minute...

Let's see how the little fella does in a good team.

You may well laugh at the ex Arsenal players we've taken from you, and how much you've squeezed us for, but those players have won titles.

Cannot argue with that.

There’s no leadership on the pitch, and certainly none coming from Wenger off it.
The “Invincibles” could all play, but when things weren’t going well, they’d go toe to toe with anyone & scrap for every point.

Compare that to the current Arsenal side; fine when they’re allowed be, but any pressure & they disintegrate. Ozil is emblematic of this. He’s a very skilful player, but he’s the sort who’ll make a 3-0 win into a 4-0 win, not the sort who’ll dig in & scrap out a 1-0 for you when things aren’t going your way.
Arsenal have far too many who go missing when the team is crying out for leadership.

Until they sort that out, their best hope for silverware is the Emirates Cup.

Wilshire has two big pluses:

1) He's English.
2) He would give the medical team a lot of useful practice.

He's probably cheap too. Looks over his worst injuries but doesn't look the same player yet. Maybe Pep can work his magic on him

Love Sanchez and Kos is useful but you have to worry about the mental toughness of players who accept 4th in the PL and a first knockout round in the CL as being a successful season. Wilshire I would have if, and only if, he were the only midfielder on earth and he came and played for free. Don't need a crock with some inappropriate free time hobbies. If he isn't good enough for a team of losers like Arsenal then he should never be mentioned in the same breath as City.

Somehow I have forgotten that all the Arsenal players are world class and that Ozil is so much better than Merlin. How could I not have noticed? Obviously, in that case, they will all be welcome at City.

Or perhaps not.

Enough with your ironic attempts at irony.

Who has said that Ozil is better than Silva?

Sanchez and Kos certainly are good enough. And City have signed plenty of crocks even when they were still injured and we've signed players with dubious recreational habits too.

Do you question the mentality of players who win their first 5 PL games without conceding a goal, then struggle to make top 4?

He has done pretty well at Bournemouth. They are a lot less composed in attack when he isn't playing.

Bellerin would be a good addition to us I think, what we need.

Aside from Sanchez, Kos, Ozil and Cazorla, Arsenal are a first team comprised of a reserve team.

posted on 16/2/17

Sanchez is the only one, I know we have GK issues but I wouldn't be at all happy if we were linked with Cech and the other keeper is no better than Willy.

Bellerin is a maybe, seems a bit weak though.
