Probably end up with another dud like Mitroglu. I hate that people want to sign a player that will be behind Kane in the pecking order.
It has to be a signing that will challenge Kane or even Bench him. There's no room for sympathy and bias towards our homegrown players.
If we keep signing players as back up to Kane then we aren't doing much for ourselves are we? Just go out and buy some quality instead of bargaining for players and then paying £30m for squad player so you don't lose face and get fan abuse.
Honestly never understood why you bought him, and for that kind of money. He should go back to the Dutch League and be somebody before he pisses his career away
* I mean to prevent pissing his career away
Odd time to coat Janssen.
Not played any significant part in either of the last two poor games, where Kane has been doing his best impression of Janssen.
Poch should probably concentrate on picking a side that has some balance to it, and not being shown up by the 8th best side in Belgium
just another example of the state of our recruitment team, when will they get it right
I am fairly sure Poch scouted Janssen himself, he was in crowd for the Holland game at Wembley was he not, so Poch has to take most of the blame.
I agree with Boss By Hugo, we need to start buying proven quality as direct competition to challenge our first XI, instead of buying players with potential that will `hopefully come good`.
Our squad is not good enough, recruitment has been a disaster again bar Wanyama.
Very odd. He must be extremely bad in training if the likes of Sissoko can make the bed.
To me it's like he's trying to deflect the attention away from his own failings lately.

Spot on as usual HRH
I have to say that poch isn't impressing me in this last month or so. Appalling performances on the pitch have been compounded by poor in game management and a few strange comments off the pitch. He has loads of "credit" in the bank, but he needs to sort this situation out and fast, because if this form continues for another two or three weeks our season will be over apart from some hope of clinging to 4th spot. As things stand looking at the form of the teams around us, I am very doubtful a bit top 4 as it is
We need to go back to 3-4-3, starting tomorrow and give wimmer or ccv or Davies a shot in there as the 3rd centre back and that way we might actually get some support up to Kane who has been poor but totally isolated. Basics.
Never understood the mantra needs time to adjust when it comes to strikers
Zlatan is proving me right already bagged 20 goals at least
Shippping out reallly maybe he was good somewhere else but he's struggling here
Ultimately the latest performances have been on Poch's head.
Completely neglected our left side v Liverpool. Davies got the pelters for it, yet he is not a bad player. He is just not the sort of player that can perform that demanding role well enough, as was clear to a few of us a couple of years back. Left out to dry.
What happens the next game? Nothing. Another lopsided team, with no pace wide left at all and three safe central midfield players in it, and Nkoudou sitting on the bench as usual.
Dier and Toby look out of sorts too. Both being right footed is not helping us, it is just more imbalance.
Janssen gets stick for playing in what are largely awful line ups. The Villa game was similarly bad. Everyone jumped on Janssen coming off and Alli on that was the catalyst, but it was actually Nkoudou coming on that livened us up.
Poch deserves more stick than any other over the last few weeks. He gets enough credit when it goes well
It's all a mess. No faith in Janssen shown, perhaps understandably, and now Kane has to be relied upon too much once again as if he's still the only striker we have at the club.
We should already be considering who we can sign in the summer and if we aren't then we're incredibly lax.

Because of that miss we were shown I said at the time that I thought we'd signed another Darren Bent. That miss was a howler which gave me cause for concern.

Messi has missed howlers mate. You cannot base an opinion because of one missed sitter.....
Suarez missed lots of sitters or good chances in his first season at Liverpool, and it wasn't until the second season that he properly found his feet.
The difference in quality between this league and Eredivisie is big and Janssen will always have needed at least a season before becoming the goalscoring machine we hoped for, if such a machine does exist within him for this league.
We should give him another season to fully make our mind up providing we bring another striker in. If nothing has changed by January then he can go.

I still think Janssen looks overweight. With pochettino's strong training methods you would think Janssen would be in better shape now surely? Regardless of lack of game time. Maybe this is what Pochettino means? Possibly he's not adapting to his training methods as good as he hoped.

I really wish we'd taken young Dembele when it was on the table. We passed up a good opportunity there and he would've given us a cheap 3rd option for this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He'd have been worth having as a third option at that price.
I hope this summer we can go for someone playing in this league whether they're a 3rd, 2nd or possibly 1st option, so that the chances of them needing to settle will be reduced.
Despite not exactly flying this season, I'd be more than happy to go for Vardy.
