Pah! How many goals have you scored in 2017?
Granted the manager carries the can but don't excuse the POTY and the record breaker for their failures too.
Ranieri added a couple of players to the Pearson team, most notably kante.
You can think of him what you want, but he won you the league last season. Leicester city, 2015/2016 premier league champions. Playing champions league football. It still blows my mind.
You can want him out you can want him sacked, whatever. But at least show the guy some respect who won you the league title twelve months ago in the most amazing story in sporting history, instead of calling him a fraud.

Another example of fans commenting on Leicester who don't know the facts
Ranieri did not add Kante to Pearsons squad. Ranieri didn't want Kante, who was in the process of being signed before Ranieri came to Leicester. Steve Walsh convinced Ranieri he should come
He has my respect for the title - an amazing achievement BUT I don't think it's his achievement alone. I think he won the lottery when he came here with a set up he himself described as a dream
And a genuine world class player in the heart of his midfield.
Yep he managed the club well, but that team also picked itself and was built by Walsh and Pearson who deserve some credit too

Wow.
Put Pearson in charge of that side last season and no chance you win the league.
"Ranieri the fraud" cries the fan who he delivered the premier league title to last season. I'm a Liverpool fan, do you know how long I've waited for one??
As I said, you can want him out but slandering him a fraud after what he did is classless.
What is this external, generally agreed perception -
'Ranieri won us the league
The players are costing us relegation'
"
Put Pearson in charge of that side last season and no chance you win the league."
There's credence to this to be fair.
But....Ranieri doesn't keep us up the season before... Subjective views can be floated around both ways
The majority of external fans are never going to bother appreciating the development that lead to last year and why the hell should they bother researching it
Fraud perhaps is a little harsh though but he is perhaps a shiny cover on a book with much more depth

Agreed Pearson wouldn't have won us the title. But - Ranieri wouldn't have won it without the team and the spirit that Walsh and Pearson built either. The point is it was a joint effort and Ranieri gets ALL the credit. He didn't build this team like SAF did countless times at United
Look at us this season. 92nd in the form table. Can't score in 2017. Dressing room fall outs, backroom staff fall outs, relegation beckoning which could take years to put right.
Why has he got such a patchy managerial record - that's the question I'm asking.

When I say fraud - I'm taliking about his track record
He has well known second season syndrome and many Italian journalists who have known him for years don't rate him. They point to his isolation of back room staff and player bust ups - which is reportedly happening here
Mourinho was made out on 606 as washed up and finished after Chelsea. Why can't we ask some searching questions about Ranieri?

And Rafa won the champions league in 2005 with largely houlliers squad?
Doesn't mean houllier gets any credit for that.

Well he should get some.
I think the difference is that Rafa proved himself at liverpool multiple times and at other clubs. Has Ranieri?
Here's another example - Robert Di Matteo won the CL at Chelsea. Is he a top class manager? Or does his subsequent track record begin to tell a different story
You can't fake what he did. He's no Fraud.
He might be a lot of things, but that isn't one of them.
Remember that when I say fraud - I'm talking about Ranieri impersonating a world class manager. A mourinho, a guardiola, ancelotti etc
His track record seems to suggest he's not
I think perhaps less 'fraud' and maybe 'flattering to deceive' would be a less purposeful idiom.
But even then, I do think Ranieri is a good manager, he had just tried I tinker with things that, within a 'bigger' club would be malleable, but at Leicester were not only vital to our success, but vital to our survival.
It's like he's Mr Miyagi trying to trim a Bonsai tree to tweek it's beautiful but inadvertently cut into its trunk. And threw it on the ground. And stamped on it. Before saying 'crane kick will work...no?'

The planets aligned for Leicester last season. A massive anomaly in football history let alone the clubs. I think the players themselves have also taken their foot off the pedal since they've achieved the impossible. Players like Gray who haven't hit the twilight of their career stand out and are more hungry than others. For someone like Vardy for instance with a BPL medal and on £100,000 a week. He isn't bothered as much as he would normally be.

I can already envision the post season threads of the first 2 or 3 teams don't surpass Leicester's points total from last year. 'What do you mean it wasn't just all the other teams being crap?'

Didn't Houllier and Benitez, weirdly, jointly manage Liverpool for a while?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh yeah, Evans. They couldn't bring themselves to sack a boot room boy so they phased him out with the whole 'joint manager' thing. "So it's 50/50 Roy but what Gerard says goes, and he likes two sugars in his tea".
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah it was bizarre and was never going to work.
Thing is contrary to popular belief Evans was a decent manager, not great, but decent. Wanted more defenders because he knew we were sht defensively only to be told there was no more money for players by that useless git mores. Two weeks later moores is signing that other useless git collymore.
BS - a tad harsh on Claudio. I've always felt that he built on the strong foundations laid by team Pearson, and this season seems to be showing that to be the case.
It's unfair to imply he had little to do with us winning the title, he changed the tactics to 4 at the back and was usually successful with his subs.
By the way, I don't agree that we wouldn't have won the league with Pearson in charge, we simply will never know.
