Why pick the biggest tie to be on a Monday?

Ah feck I usually work Monday nights

Good for us that. Gives us a bit of a rest after Europe and it helps me as I'm going house hunting on the weekend.

Anyone know when the Saints game has been moved to? Was supposed to go to the original date.

Neither the City game postponed for the final this weekend or the Saints game have been rearranged yet.

They were looking at playing the City game mid week next week but they ended up in a FA Cup replay.

Unannounced. Talk of it being in the same week as the City away game just before the last game of the season.

Could turn out to be..

Sat 13th May - Spurs away
Tues 16th - Saints away
Thurs 18th - City away
Sun 21st - Palace home

I'm told that was one of the factors in them having the game on the Monday.

If the thursday match is away (he says, assuming there will be a thursday match) the squad may as well fly out of london, no point returning to manchester.

You know what? Bring on the fixture congestion!
W can handle it. We have the squad.
Sure there will be some sort of heartbreak... but hey, wouldn't want it any other way.

Those fixtures are only played if you're out of the cup. Some PL games will be played that weekend.

Isn't that day a Chinese holiday !

I don't get where your confusion is. Everbody has a penciled in game for that weekend in the league I thought. However they are rearranged if you or your opponent is still in the cup.

Good news is that if City do beat Huddersfield they'll also be playing 4 games in that week

I think it would make sense if teams in Europe didn't qualify for it. We must be the only major league that has 2 domestic cups as well as 20 teams in league.

If Chelsea beat United in the Cup then ourr fixtures for April will probably look like this:

Saturday April 1st Palace (H)
Wednesday April 5th City (H)
Saturday April 8th Bournemouth (A)
Wednesday April 12th Watford (H)
Sunday April 16th United (A)
Sunday April 23rd FA Cup Semi Final
