This was a great fight back from Australia. Ashwin does look quite tired. To be fair to him he has bowled a lot this season. He really deserve a good break. I think if India want to do well away, they really need to give a long break to umesh yadav, jadeja and ashwin.
Australia have shown good resiliance and the likes of rendhae and handcomb looks a great addition to their line up.
Pitches this series have either been underprepared or quite placid in general. India should stick to traditional test matches venues
India should stick to traditional test matches venues
This is spot on Why we are playing test matches at venues like Ranchi & Dharamshala (despite how beautiful it is) I will never know. Need to stick to Mumbai, Mohali, Bangalore, Chennai as the first four choices for every touring nation.
Ranchi was a very slow wicket - the run rate after Australia had batted out their first innings was so slow for us and their second innings. The pressure is on us going into Dharamshala where traditionally the ball flies through for the seamers due to the oxygen-starved location in the hills. You would think this would suit them more unless substantial change is made to the wicket. They have played very well in this series and full credit to their team.
P. S. It's only a game lads,
Kohlis over the top banter and sledging this series is sure going to haunt the team when they tour aus in 2 years time. All the Aussie media and everyone will be so hostile to the team. I just remember how broad was taken apart.
Not only that viru, I think it's had a negative impact this series too - he's averaging 9 from 5 innings. He's lucky pujara saved him in the last test.
Aussies give plenty but back it up in the middle. They are masters at it.
Very sad day.. R.I.P for the victims who died in London attack! My prayers and condolences for their families..
This is sports website but we all can give our support & wishes for such a tragedy as fellow human beings.. May Almighty bless them all.
Bet Aussies were gutted when Kohli pulled out injured
No double ton for him
Brilliant fight back from India.
Kash - Wtf gwan with you?? You're turning into Afridi?
Pujara single handedly trying to destroying test cricket... boring caaant. Last game, he can be excused considering the situation, got India back to a great position...
Even kohli would score quickly on this pitch considering his avg of 9 this series..
India has played very negative cricket. You get the opposition out for 300 odd and then block block and get out. Kl Rahul has been so disappointing. Scoring 50s and getting out is in my opinion bigger crime than getting out without scoring.
Rahane has looked so out of form since the England series has been very scratchy this innings. The match is in the balance but considering we are batting last here we have lost a great opportunity to win this match.
Totally agree viru... ridiculous approach today. I can see the logic of the openers taking it easy with the new ball but after that there's not much excuse. You'd think today was probably the best day to bat on that pitch
India in driving seat...would be great if we can restrict the lead below 120-150. Anything above 150 might be tricky..
India win this easy now. all people laughing at india, where are you going now?? Ashwin showing again he is real hero of indian cricket. Always come back stronger and is a fighter.
aus 82/6. we need them out for 110 top
We need to make sure Wade doesn't come on strike, quick 3-40 runs from him could prove us costly.
I won't count my chicken yet...but yes it's India's game to throw away now.
Ashwin delivering once again when it matters. Great bowling by Umesh. Just need to hang in for the remaining 6-7 overs today without losing a wicket and we will coast tomorrow
Brilliant stuff by India. As concerning as the pace of the first innings was, Aus second innings really showed that it was essential to establish a lead, regardless of the pace. Hopefully we can finish the job off tomorrow.
Must be india win now. great comeback and without captain kohli
Great pace bowling by India. Umesh quietly been the star for India this season and this series in particular. If India want to win away 5 bowlers is a must. Our batting has to improve consistency,
I think the Aussies will be quietly pleased with the way they approached this tour.. They've had 2 shocking collapses on this tour but on the whole have been competitive - unlike their previous couple of tours vs Asian teams.
This A14 is a plank
They had many collapses in this tournament, different team that's toured this time around. Mind you for this donkey to pay a compliment to India would be like Pakistan playing at home again.
Ohh dear, dear dear dear.... look they've taken offence again .. that wasn't aimed at India directly or indirectly, no idea why you have got offended over that straightforward comment pogdog.
They had "many" collapses? Really, ok. I remember two shocking ones which I have alluded to above...
What's your definition of "many".. let me guess, is it the same as "tournament"??? ..... this is the first tournament I have come across between two teams .
Pogdog wants us to pay India a compliment for beating the Aussies 2-1, that after they've been whitewashed by pak and Lanka recently .... you gotta love it.
Nobody gives a shiiit what pakistan beat Australia by, because nobody gives a shiiit about pakistan.
