I like your summary 3R
I'm very happy with the result, performance and points.
Another 3 against Preston would be excellent.
Did JR play on the right then today?
Looking forward to watching this one. Sounds like I need to have a word with JDS about his distribution then.
Butters does look a different player in a 2 man central midfield. Maybe he's just a bit anti social and doesn't like a crowd round him.
Pleased for JR though, hope he can put a shift in on t'uther flank too.
I wasn't sure JR was coming out for the second half, glad he did because he had a decent second half.
Am I the only one who gets frustrated at Cyrus Christie when he has to roll his foot over the ball before crossing it?
Did Cyrus look better without Ince on the same flank? Trying to work out if it's the two of them not gelling or if it's al Cyrus' or Ince's fault.
Well done, 3R.
Good to have a win to report
Cyrus is still a bit off the pace, don't think he is the long term future RB
Christie made some decent forays but was ponderous in his decision-making. He doesnt instinctively do the right thing. When we have a centre half fit Baird should go back to right back. It's a position to try to strengthen in over the summer.
Baird is player of the season for me.
Sorry if that upsets Ramesses and View.
Ince for me which will definitely upset Iwas.
Keogh is already PoTY - I think it is a contractual obligation. And richly deserved
Ince is a good shout, but under the circs and the fact he has won the supporters back through work, effort and very decent performances.
It was expected he would fail, but he hasn't. He's also gone about it quietly. I like that.

Wouldn't argue with that, AJ, but don't count Carson out of the running either.

A guy who only gives us 50% of a season is your PoTY.
Spart knows nowt.
Hard to see past Ince for player of the year.
My PoTY would come from the defence, apart from a few they have been good. You can rule out the left back position as it's been changed too often. Baird has done really well in the games he's played so is in contention. Pearce and Keogh have both been consistently good with some bad games but for me it has to be Carson who has been ever present and consistent. He was the reason for our unbeaten run with top drawer saves week in week out.
Yep, Ince edging it over Carson for me. Certainly added a lot to his game defensively this season and has become a better all-round player.
I like Baird too, dependable, experienced & professional
Ang, think your spot on with Carson.
I was wondering if you can vote for Martin. 12 goals already
Plus, voting for Ince as PotY would increase his market value, so Iwas could drive him somewhere illustrious
3R, could you tell me what the new formation was. I didn't see any difference in the way we have played for the past few seasons. Dependent on a strong centre forward to hold the ball up and win free kicks or attack down the flanks with fullbacks supporting the two wide players. The main difference was that we had a centre forward who could do the job and wide players who did their job.
Barnsley also played into our hands. They chased down everything in the first half, running after lost causes. I asssume they were told to as we had lost our last two games to first half goals so the manager thought we would crunble if we conceded early. I said to the guy in the next seat that they wouldn't be able to keep that pace up for 90 minutes.
Much as Wassa always thinks that any player who doesn't run for 90 minutes is lazy all footballers need to pace themselves. Stopping, sprinting and turning take more out of an athlete than constant running.
