Typical, Mr turgid coming into form at the wrong time, murdering opponents into defeat... Anyone but Selby...

Selby really is the 'marmite' of snooker. I'm not a big fan of his either, but he's probably an ok bloke off the table

He gets results in his own way. Not the prettiest on the eye but can't deny the success his style has brought him.

You can't, he is a great player, if you wanted anyone to win a frame to save your life... it would be Selby.

Matthew Stevens is out in the first qualifying round. Beaten 10-8 by Lee Walker.

That's a shock, he's a Crucible regular, lost to Ronnie in the semi in 2013 I think...finalist in 2000

Matthew Stevens with just the 1 ranking title on his CV and it had to come against Stephen Hendry in the UK Championship back in 2003

True. Quite a few players who you'd expect to go through within a frame of reaching the second qualifying round tonight.

My style of play in Snooker yesterday was criticized and I was accused of playing like Selby

I our team we've a few half decent players who go for everything, I pot what's there and doss the white. I always get stick for it.

Who's won the most this season?

What's it like playing for a snooker team? That sounds pretty cool. What's your highest break been? I just play against a few mates so nothing serious but we still are competitive lol. With me I'm not exactly good at Snooker so if I don't feel confident taking on a long pot I'd much rather try and play a good safety as I don't want to leave opponent anything easy. If my potting was really good I would play more attacking. My safety game is alright, I admit half of the time it is quite lucky with where I leave the cueball but ahhh well lol.

Don't consider myself to be that greater a player, we play in a handicap league which equals it out. Good fun and the difference in playing your mates and playing in a league is it means something. You want to win your frame every time you play, it matters more.

It's such a hard game to play never mind master. I feel for all the amateurs who are probably miles better than all of us combined yet still nowhere near good enough on the professional tour.

I haven't played snooker for maybe 10 years now, although I use to play 2 or 3 times a week before then. But even at a 'fun' level, if you didn't play for a few weeks, it was noticeable just how difficult it was to get back into the swing of things.

It is the positional side of the game that looks so easy on tv and yet if you play down the club it feels an achievement to knock 4 or 5 balls in a row with decent position. And if we adhered to the miss rule, we would be playing a frame forever

Reanne Evans losing 4-0 at the moment.

Hammad Miah a name to look out for? Knocked Walden out, leads his second round qualifying match 7-1. He's ranked at 102.

I play in a snooker team for my local club in a handicapped league. Highest break of 62, which was years ago when I used to practice regularly, these days I am lucky to make a 30 break. I like a few frames practice whilst blowing the froth of a few.

A few matches conclude tonight. Some real tough match ups in there as well.

Joe Perry is out?! From Masters runner-up to being knocked out of WC qualifying, that's how tough the game is these days.
