Nah, anyone from West-Midlands takes that honour for me. I worked with a guy from Dudley a few years ago, real smart guy, but no-one could take him seriously.

Those with a “Scouse” accent are also considered to be the least friendly and least intelligent people in Britain, the poll for ITV’s Tonight programme discovered. The UK’s most friendly regional accent is in Devon, with nearly two-thirds finding it “very friendly” or “fairly friendly”.

Cal, I don't think anyone puts any real stock in it. But if someone asks you which one you find the friendliest, I'm fairly sure everyone's got an answer - even you, so therefore you must have a one that sounds the least friendly. Fairly sure no-one intends to live their lives by these judgements.

Agree. Every time I've met a proper scouser with that horrible screechy accent they have been complete caaaants.

I use to have a scouse neighbour, was into all sorts of illegal activities and was a viscous aggressive facker. Eventually he got sent down for getting a 15 year old pregnant.

Of course I'm sure not all scousers are the same, just everyone I've met have been scallys and wouldn't trust at all.

There are different degrees to different accents. In the same way Troopz is not representative of all Londoners, I'm not saying the gentleman in the video is either, but you have to admit that's one hell of a thiqqqq accent.

The funny thing about it is they put on a mancunian accent to say it.

I lived in Liverpool for four years and really liked the accent, thought it was funny, trainees, Gary's, arl-arse, is right, the Golden Samba, Concert Sq, it really is a great city.

I've even picked up the mawkish nostalgia for a city that I've set foot in twice in nearly 10 years, I think i've caught second-hand Scouse

Not all mancunians have the accent though.

My grandfather, rest his soul had a southern accent, my dad has a South Eastern accent too.

Mine is more Scottish than mancunian
