He's off mate.

He's already signed. They're waiting for a run of 2 wins and the plethora of joy that will overcome Arsenal fans who will forget that past and rejoice that they'll win the quadruple next year.

That won't happen this time. I vast proportion of the fans want him out no matter what happens.

We could win every single game until the end of the season and he still has to go.

I'm not either. I've conned myself a few times into thinking that even he wouldn't be egotistical enough to extend, but I've reminded myself he's firmly lodged in his own backside. Wenger's underlying mentality is something of a cross between a 3rd world dictator who surrounds himself with sycophants that tell him how much of a messiah he is, and that degenerate gambler who keep going that extra round believing their luck will turn. He genuinely does have immense self-belief which is hardly the worst thing in the world, but in the case of a self-deluded person, is destructive for the club because he clearly can't see his blind spots.

I am not convinced either. Hes treated like a god within the club and any criticism of him is frowned upon. I know this for a fact. A few hundred fans protesting won't make much of a difference to him or the board imo. He's just waiting for the storm to pass before announcing it.

I think he's probably aware by now that his presence is having a very negative impact on the fanbase, even the away fans are up in arms these days.

I think the whole "I will let you know" act is an attempt to attract sympathy. Much like when a child has done wrong they'll threaten to run away from home in the hope of eliciting feelings of longing. All the while looking back over their shoulder at their parents to see if they'll beg them to come back.

It wont pass though this isnt the usual bad period we have this is much worse. Its clear to see the players aint playing for him anymore no matter what they say. You cant change 25 players the only thing they can do is change the manager.

How many storms has he gone through the last few yrs!. Him and the board are on to much money to care what 200 or 300 protesters think. After all the underachieving and mediocre players we've had in recent times. Only a small percentage of fans seem to be irate at the situation, unless there is mass protests in a much larger scale then nothing will happen imo.

This is different though you may say its only a few hundred fans protesting but its becoming very public its not helping Arsenal's image and one thing the board will care about is the selling potential to sponsors. If we arent in the champions league and there are pictures and videos of fans demonstrating all over the web sponsors will definately think twice about renewing sponsorships with Arsenal.

If i was a betting man my money would be on him extending his contract.
A shame it's come to this really!

I don't see how it's any different from the last 7 or 8 yrs. we've massively under achieved in the supporters eyes. We have been battered 8-2 , 6-0 in recent seasons, sold our best players to rivals and we haven't lost any revenue or sponsorship. Maybe actually finishing out side the top 4 will do it but he's been achieving the boards objectives for a while. They might just see it as one freak season.

Some managers learn from their mistakes, but Wenger doesn't, which is the worry thing. I'd love for him to win something before he walked away. However, that won't happen due to his inability to improve the defence. You can give him one of the best centre back and he'd make look like Sunday league players.

Its very different as its been said in past years you wouldnt have seen a single banner at the games now theres loads of them you've got fans fighting each other in the stands its not doing the club's image any good. Wenger always had the excuse before that the club financially wasnt able to compete because of the cost of moving grounds and I think the fans have been very patient and understanding of this fact but that wont wash anymore. His position is untenable he will be going.

The whole club has been unsettled by Wenger speculation. The players aren't responding and the defensive organisation was atrocious yesterday. Wenger has made it all about him. Its ridiculous the manager thinks himself bigger than arsenal. He expects ozil and Alexis to commit but doesn't do it himself. Frankly arsenal should have given him an ultimatum last summer. Extend or quit. And if Wenger dithered they should have gone all out for pep. Arsenal leadership at board level is non existent.

I agree with OP. I am not convinced he is off, most likely signed a years extension.
