For me its mostly televised these days but the odd games I go to we are talking £2-300 per game depending on my Lads coming with me
Feck knows why I do it tbh. I complain about the journey, the parking, the food, the traffic but that 90 minutes its therapy
So you do know why you do it.
Not much. BT sport costs a few quid a month and I stream other games. I go to the pub quite a bit to see games but I'd probably be there most times without the football anyway.
All it costs me is how ever much I pay for the Sports Chanel's.
Hardly costs me anything. I go to watch most games in my local. So the price of a couple of pints per game. I don't subscribe to any channel, but can usually find a stream to watch it on if not in the pub.
Nothing and I don't know how fans who go to like every game throughout the season can genuinely afford the time or the money
For those who mainly watch it on tele/stream what's the worst thing you have done in terms of reorganising your day to watch the footie?
I know a fella who sent his Mrs to the hospital via taxi so he could watch the game. She was giving birth to his daughter
Her waters went during a game and he said catch a cab love and I will see you in a bit
For those who mainly watch it on tele/stream what's the worst thing you have done in terms of reorganising your day to watch the footie?
...............
I don't reorganise my day.
I have this fantastic new device that allows me to record things.

For me the money hasn't been the main issue tbh its more about time. Depending on where life, love and work have taken a person it can mean a whole day
Although I do think justifying hundreds of pounds a week would eventually have become an issue with a family and that

I don't bother recording anymore tbh. Usually the replays are on anyway if I Wang to watch the whole game
For me its a case of it being a thing I do with my boys. It's our little thing of getting together to watch a game, something I used to do with my brother but then life takes over but the memories last. Hoping my lads remember the times after I am long gone
£2000 on flights, plus around £400 on a couple of games when I fly home for Christmas.
Other than that, subscription rates for the various Sky-affiliated satellite channels are quite cheap in the 3rd world.

Sound reasoning there bud.
I am out playing golf at the weekends more often than not, so rarely see it live, but do watch the whole match later without knowing the score.
There has been may a time recently when I wished I had checked the score out on my iphone though.
Too much on TV and jerseys if you ask me... (probs in the region of 1500 a year)
I do a lot of recording so I don't disturb work schedule but I'm thinking I might just cut the cord this summer. And try next season as a streamer... Plenty of sites to see full recorded games as well if needed.
If I find the drop in quality/reliability too painful might return to the box...
Go to about 6 games a season at Old Trafford. Sky costs me £25 a year.
£1500 on TV and jerseys? How much is Sky and BT at most, £60 a month, that's £720. That means you spend around £800 a year on United football tops?
Roughly £8-900 a season going to games.
When I had my season ticket it was roughly £3,000.
Saturday or Sunday game about 170 a go,midweek incorporating overnight stay 220. Try to get to about 8 games a season depending on shifts and days off plus all the sky sports channels of which I like other stuff and life's too short and I'm too simple to find and search decent alternatives due to middle aged comfort beginning to settle in.
Worth every penny going to games when winning or qualifying for next round but home draw to hull and defeat to City were total bubble bursters. Gotta have some lows to appreciate the highs.
Nowhere near what it used to when I had my season ticket and went to away days (thank goodness). Never appreciated what a waste of money it was until I had that 4K a year as surplus.
I've been to 12 games this season. The only ticket I paid for was the League Cup final(thanks to my brother, dad and uncle still having their tickets). Probably spent £200 inc. travel and booze for the day at the final, and about £30 on the other 11 games (so it's still be c. a £500+ season). I've probably spent another £400 including tickets, travel and booze going to Huddersfield games.
Cac, didn't even realise that. Best not tell the mrs about this realisation.
Still I'm probably better off by about £3k this season than in previous ones.
....as for the why, it was time with my dad and my brother that I wouldn't otherwise have. Now that I have my own family I'd rather be at home more and can pick and choose when I want to go to games, rather than feeling financially burdened by the cost of my ticket to attend.
Last season was just over £12k
Going out of the CL and league cup earlier plus away tickets now "only" £30 it should be under £10k this season
My dad's a regular £10k a season man as well. Obscene really when you think about it. Only time I came close to that out of my own pocket was when I put about 4 grand into the 2006 World Cup.

Sheesh man
This is one reason I asked. Someone mentioned figures in that region and more for football (club and country)
These guys are not overly well off either and have families and I have tbh I was like WTF.
For me when I had the money family came along and it seemed a waste even when I was relatively comfortable. Or certainly not justifiable to spend £10k pa on footie
Not having a go at those that do spend that. That's fecking dedication. Shame clubs don't appreciate that imo
As others have said, the SKY and BT subscriptions are the limit of my financial commitment, don't buy and merch and going to games isn't worth the money imo, if safe standing is introduced and ticket prices lowered then i'd go more often for sure.
I'd guess I get to around 12 games a season, so including the tram, few beers, food and ticket about £80, probably around £900+ a year.
Plus Sky and BT.
