Part of your club throughout its glory years, 30 years on the coaching staff, fair play
RIP
One of the familiar faces when I started watching football in the 80s. Saw him celebrating far too often for my liking then though!
A real football man and a great servant to your club.
RIP
Rest in Peace Ronnie - a great man and the loudest whistle in football
True legend, truly loyal.... will never walk alone.
RIP YNWA
Christmas/new year 1983? We were playing away at Watford. The ball went out of play and ended up right under Ronnie's seat. A throw in to Watford. I can still see him sitting there, arms folded, the usual grimace on his face. Did he reach down and get the ball, you know, to help the opposition? Sporting jesture? Friendly atmosphere? Dream on. He just glared at the poor Watford player who had to reach down between Ronnie's legs to get the ball. Death ray extraordinaire.
RIP big man.

Our club was built by players like Ronnie YNWA rip
Sad news. Rip big guy. Great servant to the club.
More than a legend. Remember a story about him where if the players stopped moving in practice he would blow his whistle and ask why are you not moving....the players got the message.
Always seemed a genuine fella when i watched him on TV. Sad to see another link to the great years leave us.
Sad news, a real footballing man and a huge influence on our club.
Fairly common story I think but shows the reverence held for Ronnie still...
Moran retired in 1998 but that did not stop him returning to Melwood, Liverpool's training base, until recently to have a walk around the pitches to keep himself fit. Even then, his reputation assured he was afforded respect.
'I remember a story about Fernando Torres asking Sammy Lee, 'Who is that old fella walking around the pitches?' explained Paul Moran. 'Sammy took him down a corridor to show him pictures and trophies. From then on, Fernando never did anything but say hello to Ronnie each morning.'

So glad he got his autobiography finished before he passed. I am buying it this weekend.
Carragher said that Ronnie was the first person to say to Carra that he should play at centre-back.
RIP Big Ron
Roy Evans now the last of the bootroom men left.
RIP Ronny you can tell how much he did for us as a club with the tributes that are coming in, hopefully we get many more men like him at our club.
