Worst result possible is Hafeez scoring runs. Why he took Babar number 3 spot is beyond me.

At least wait until the innings is over before writing it off, decent position now

Hafeez is dross... ugly innings typical of him. Never really looked comfortable until the latter part.

The overall score may look decent, but we scored at 3.8 between 20-40 with 1 wicket down. No other team does that. We are not ranked 8th for no reason.. top 4/5 teams would have got 350+ with ease after that start

Said it before, our slow batting between 20-40 was embarrassing and 1990s worthy... deserved fek all for that alone. Pacers were shocking.

Absolutely livid with that defeat. Complete humiliation, the players attitude was poor. Very worrying songs ahead.

Hafeez cost us that game. Selfish batting in the middle overs on a flat track and we stumble just over 300. Top sides would have scored 370 on that track but we still think it's the 90s.

if you think hafeez was the problem yday that's really troubling, yes he slow played it a bit in the middle overs but our bowlers get away without no blame as usual, average score on that pitch was 225 and they couldn't defend 300+ <Laugh>

Average scores don't mean much these days. For modern day cricket that is an easy chaseable total. Not much cricket has been played at that ground. For sure Wahab once again when it matters did his bottle job.

3 other bowlers are new to the team and Amir bowled well enough.

What you can't make excuses for is Hafeez slow batting. When WI can only have 4 fielders outside the circle he was blocking. Every other team goes on the offensive before the 40th over mark. Very selfish innings which cost the team.

not making excuses for hafeez at all, its just ridiculous to lay the blame mostly on one player for that loss and especially not when as some were claiming this is a 3rd string WI team, 300 is more than enough

United- you're right hafeez is partly to blame not his fault single handedly.. why the f Arthur promoted him above babar is confusing - the young lad has got 4 centuries in his last 9 Odis batting at 3

Also one of the reasons Arthur was brought in was to improve our Odi performances - almost a year in, he's taking us backwards.

I wasnt impressed with sarfraz captaincy yesterday either, but let's give him a few months before we judge him.. gets frustrated and mouths off at the players every 2 mins. Been language all wrong for a captain... needs to calm down abit

I think with the improvement of the test team the players have forgot how to play ltd overs cricket, there's no change of gear from the batsmen(you dnt have to have big hitters) and our bowlers have forgotten how to bowl at the death, wahab thinks the faster and higher you bowl the better the outcome will be

What's worse is that we needed a3-0 win here to secure the 8th place Odi ranking for the World Cup 2019.. cut off is end of sept 2017. Unless we have a good champions trophy tournament, we'll have to qualify and face the likes of afghan, Hong Kong, uae etc
