Won't be me losing.
Either way Sturgeon has got what she wanted.
By delaying the referendum vote, which May agrees will happen now, Sturgeon can play to the emotional voters as being dictated to by a parliament who has zero say or interest in the day to day running of Scotland. Why vote to stay with a government who not only failed on its promises last time around but dragged the country out of a bigger European Union against its will.
Anyway. I can't be rsed with politics. It's far too late.

I shudder to think what wisdom they entailed.
Great to see the soldier will be released.
Nah.
Leave them up and allow them to look like idiots for everyone to mock accordingly.

How can you force something on a population that overwhelmingly voted you into office in the full knowledge of what your party's aims were?
And since when did opinion polls last get something major correct. Brexit and Trump anyone?
It's a vote for an antirely different reason now. Not just to be independent but also to try and stay as part of the EU. Completely different.
So have I got this right
Brexit needs to happen because the people voted
But Scottish can't have a referendum even though their parliament voted?
"going by the polls" Good one.
The scottish populaton knew what they were getting when they voted Sturgeon in

----------------------------------------------------------------------
No. You having got it right.
Scotland voted Remain on two fronts.
1. A series of promises made by various politicians who scuttled up the road at the last minute when they believed they might actually lose this vote.
And
2. Nothing constitutional would change.
I'm sure you can work the rest out.
Right.
Really heading to kip now.

still trying to understand the noise for a scottish referendum.
So in 2013 everyone knew the UK will be having a referendum on leaving the EU. In 2014 scotland have a referendum on whether to stay part of the UK and choose to stay. In 2016 UK has a referendum and choose to leave EU but now the scots wanting another referendum cause they did not have their way?
Does this means the scots get a referendum everytime they do not have their way?
Still never understood why Scotland, with a population of about a quarter of greater London, feel they should get their way when they're comprehensively out voted?

Let the Scottish people have their vote.
See how they manage the deficit and funding of NHS Scotland. Or offering free prescriptions...university tuition and all the other sweet perks they have.
Free prescriptions while those who have had organ transplants in England have to pay prescription charges for life saving anti rejection drugs.
Adios Scotland
So Scotland's want to remain in the EU.
Well you can't, as you are part of the UK and we are leaving. You can vote to leave the the UK. The apply to be in the EU like any other country. This will take maybe 4 years cost you loads and in the meantime you'll have to support yourselves with any handouts from the UK or the EU.
Scottish oil isn't enough to support you all, welcome to the 70's should you leave. It's going to be tough times, but hey it's ok you have Sturgeon to run things
