In his position he should know to be more careful. Robbie Fowler (and I believe he had plenty of practice ) claims he never used to leave a drink and go back to it- if he went to the toilet he wouldn't touch the drink he left he'd buy a new one, and apparently only bottles that he saw being opened. Maybe a little paranoid, but surely worth doing if it can cost you your career?
Didn't Yaya Toure use same excuse as well.
I wouldn't blame him if he had deliberately taken drugs. You're close to signing for Spurs one moment, and the next you're at Stoke.
Standard lie for someone who tests positive. Seen it used in boxing.
I threw up on Friday night, I think someone spiked one of my 5 double JD & Cokes, or the 6 pints, or the 4 VK's, or one of my tray of shots.
While its a 'yeah sure you did' you dont know if some n0b thought 'haha im going to put something in his drink'
Have to agree with Adam (above) if we're going to give Berahino the benefit of the doubt, but why was he in a nightclub on his own without any mates to help him, esp if some idiot wanted to pick a fight with a footballer, as some people do.
Whatever, Berahino is responsible for this incident, not West Bromwich Albion, and he tested positive. The subsequent ban was the FA's.
To give Berahino the benefit-of-the-doubt.....looks like some one definitely 'spiked' his pies and burgers with extra lard...
Snorto Berafailure has done a total of nothing for Sjoke in three months. I reckon his latest interview is an attempted smoke screen to divert attention or be an excuse for, his dreadful performances in the red and white striped shirt.
Long may that continue with him drifting down into non-league football rueing the day he ever thought he was bigger than our club.
Hard cheese against mighty Watford.
A terrible result for Albion, it has to be said, but Villa and Wolves did well.
