Didn't Souness have the chance to sign Wright but went for Dean Saunders instead. How things could have been different

Loved wright, even though I was a little young to fully appreciate his character. but there's no buts about it, Henry was better.

Felt so bad for wright when he had to hand over the arsenal top scorer plaque. less than ten years after breaking it

That's what Henry said when he knocked out the irish

Was obviously really angry when it happened as he was so sly about it, we were absolutley brilliant that night away in France and deserved to go through. Also hated how he tries to apologize by sitting by big Richie Dunne with a sort of child like I'm sorry face on him

But as we all know this is football, shhhiiiitttt happens, you're angry then move on, but non football people in Ireland were going mad for about a week after, radio phones ins full of angry old ones rining in to give out about Henry.

Best story to come from it was a man was arrested in Donegal the day after the match, he hadn't been to sleep since the game, had been drinking all night, and was arrested in a local supermarket piiiiisssing onto a cuisine de France bread stand saying "take that ya cheating French b@st@rds"

I swear to God that is true.

Henry was clearly a different level to Wright but Wright was more of a character and football was a bit more fun when he was playing.
