You mean won anything. You can achieve without winning something.
==================================
Well obviously.
Waking up each morning, and not dying in your sleep could be judged as being something of an achievement of sorts, but having a manager who has 10 years in management without winning a single accolade, doesnt really put you in a position to try and take the p!$$ out of a manager who actually has.
Fair play to Pochettino though.
He seems to be talked about as a future Barca/Madrid coach, which when you look at his record, would be some achievement.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's because he's done a good job at Spurs whereas Rodgers, in the end at Liverpool, had not.

And as for Celtic; you could be sent to manage them on work experience at secondary school and you'd win the league with them.

I don't really rate Wes Brown, but he has won more trophies and finished higher in the PL than Slippy G.

He's achieved a higher PL finish than Poch ever has. Don't even rate Rodgers but he's won more trophies and finished higher in the PL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unless we finish 2nd this season which we look good for.

Then there's the fact Poch spent a lot less money, will have had 2 top 4 finishes, hasn't had us finish in 8th place, has reached a domestic cup final in England, and may even win one yet, and knows how to manage a defence.

Rodgers has plenty of promise, irrespective of all the ridicule he gets here, but at the moment, I'd favor a manager with winning experience at the highest level. But I wouldn't balk at Brenda. It's not really any different from signing Tuchel, except Rodgers doesn't have a fancy foreign name.

Anyway, you could just as easily use Brenda's 'almost winning the league' season to ask why Klopp isn't currently doing better than he is?

How so?

Klopp has been struggling with the lower teams this season and has had no European football. Top 4 was pretty nailed on at this point for Rodgers, whereas it's still up in the air for Liverpool. If you don't finish in the top 4 it'll be a huge failure.

Not to come above Utd and Arsenal would be failure after finishing 8th.

Go read a book and then have a nap.

Top 4 may not even be enough this season. You never know.

They both had/have European football. You haven't all season. Expectation for you should be top 4 minimum. No other way to dress it up.

Enough to get CL if Leicester miraculously win the thing.

Stated quite clearly he's not even remotely interested.

Not for some good time to come anyway.

You'll have Wenger again and be very grateful.

As Rodgers says himself "sometimes it's nice to have some comfort and satisfaction in life and reasess what's important. Wish more players would have that attitude and go where they can get a game instead of being a bench warmer on stupid money.

I guess "he hasn't won anything" is all our opponents have got. 3rd season at the Lane and things are going in the right direction.

He's got the 6th highest wage bill in the Prem and we are 2nd, as well as a cup semi to look forward to. Not too shabby in my book.

Choked last season, finishing 3rd in a 2 horse race, was a laughing stock in Europe again this season, and spent 50 million on Jansen and Sissoko.
Yeah, hes flying.

Well its more than you have to say otherwise.
Its quite a big thing to have to counter talk of how good a manager he is, when he hasnt won a thing in 9/10 years in football management.

Second in the league with an FA Cup semi. Remind me again how Rodgers did in Europe and in the league when he spent twice that?

didn't you know that Liverpool have a divine right to be there? they won loads of stuff in the 70s and 80s. the fact that we have been better than them for absolutely ages, is irrelevant
