Rooney doesnt guarantee you consistency. Hes done this before, ie had a purple patch of goals and is on top form, but then it fizzles out after a while

Ya but my point is when they are at their best and when it really matters. Only one winner in my view.
Good question but I'd have to say Ronaldo because he will always get more goals than Rooney. Rooney is a brilliant playmaker but Ronaldo has more in his tool box & superior skills. Both fantastic players though... I pray that Rooney keeps up his blistering form.
Yes i get you. Ronaldo would get more goals in the same team as Rooney but on the biggest stage its debatable who is better. And I would edge Rooney. Just my opinion and I am sure plenty will disagree.
Rooney has scored 110 PL goals in 220 games for Utd.
Brilliant scoring record ! 1 every 2 games.
Tough call but I would say Rooney is the better fit for United. Aside from his goals, he creates, tracks back, etc.
Which ever one we had at United, I wouldn't want to swap for the other.
We have Wayne, he is AWESOME, so why talk about swapping him for anyone, even another world class talent like Ronny?
I would also keep rooney not just for the goals but the tracking back and defending he does.
Ronaldo all day long. Jesus christ. Love rooney to bits, but as someone above said, his consisatnacy and form dwindles on occasion in terms of scoring. With ronaldo you have a machine.
Ronaldo also has more mental strength, when ronaldo came back from the world cup as the pantomime villain and got booed in every stadium he used it as a platform, like beckham did in 98/99, to go on and raise his game. He hasnt looked back since. Rooney however crumbled mentally and had in fairness his worst season with us. I still dont expect rooney to score more than around 23-26 this year.
Not only scores three, but actually saved an almost certain goal at the other end...and that's what counts...no? Heart and soul of United and has been since his transfer...that SAF is so astute...yeah!!!
Ronaldo all day long. Hes just so much better.
But you prob shouldnt listen to me as i was asked if i could have any 2 players from any club playing for United I picked Iker Casillas and Robben.
