Stella notion was 66/1 when I went for it. Its now down to around 30's so maybe its worth a go. Apparently it will get around so each way is my tip

Seriously though I fancy Cause of Causes @14/1 and O`Faolains Boy as an outsider @80/1

Vicente for me at 25/1. Paul Nichols was interviewed earlier in the week and said he was the horse in best nick out of his several entries. His form looks poor on the face of it, but this is his time of year and won the Scottish National last year, so trip not a problem.

Also Definitely Red and Blaklion. At the top of the market, admittedly, but followed them both for a while.

You'd be better served sticking pictures of the different horses to a darts board, putting the board on the floor, climbing up a ladder, sticking a blindfold on, asking a friend to spin the board, dropping a dart from the stop of the ladder and whacking your money on whichever horse the dart lands on.. it's the National.

I did O'Faolains Boy last year as an outsider. Wasn't great. He has since got worse. He'll come close to last.

The missus won with Mon Mome at 100/1, because it sounded like what my daughter called her when she first started to talk.

I backed Aurora's Encore at 100/1 because I'd done some work for a company called Aurora......

Whilst I know little/nothing about horse racing I've gone for Saphir Du Rheu @ 22/1.

Gas line supply

I always back outsiders but to be fair the national is always great value as rather favourite is still usually about 10/1

There are trends to follow, statistically horses aged 8-11 usually win the national carrying more than 11st 6lb. Also the winner has almost always won previously at 3 miles or over and has no more than 2 career falls to their name.

Of course there is the odd exception and anything can happen over those fences.
