This is a farce. What a horrible country to play cricket in.

Duckworth Lewis can be a bit funny, but what can you do? Abandon all rain affected ODI's? Got a better idea or just moaning?
Cox - not so horrible for an england fan, im guessing you support india and wouldnt complain if you could actually win a match

Not moaning just starting a conversation. Waiting for the voice of reason to offer something constructive, will it be a long wait?

It seems the weather has relented and we may get a full game after all, that's great news all round.

Seriously hope, DL gets a lot of stick but its the best we can do. (i think). If there is a better way to decide rain affected matches then lets consider it. What do you suggest? hoping for the best reply ever

The D/L method is certainly better tha just taking the run rate as they used to but on occasion it does make a mockery out of a game. i.e. the England - West Indies game in the T20 WC.
I'm still unable to get my head around why the chasing teams total rises every time a wicket falls. In a full 50 over game the loss of wickets doesn't come in to it.

????????

The forecast for today is good....

I already pointed that out.

England win toss again and Field, Finn on his home ground gets the nod over Dernbach.

Extreme example i admit but would you fancy a team to chase 100 with 9 down and twenty overs left? How about 100 for no loss with 20 left? DL takes into account the resources the batting team has, overs and wickets.

Pox - can't be that bad a country when half of Asia come over here to live.

Blue skies according to Aggers, Cook says a green pitch! So happy finn is in for jade 'slower ball' dernbach

Whats everyones view on Dernbach?
Wondering if he may he a twenty 20 specialist, only...

I havent seen him in 4 or 5 day games but in one day he does love the slower ball too much. Fair play to his wickets so far but he seems to have been sussed already by the indians

Dernbach is on a learning curve at this level but I believe they think he will be effective on the sub continent. October in India will be his test.

Just Google it or look on Youtube

Finn looking good, he's also a better fielder than Dernbach who's a bit clumsy.
