Where would Costa go though? I can't see him leaving over the summer and reckon that he'll sign a new deal soon. I've always been dubious about Morata in the Prem. Just something about his style that means I think he would find the pace difficult to deal with. Also, would Spurs really spend so much on a player that will always be a back up to Kane?

This season goes to show we need another good striker. 2 injuries to Kane missing nearly 3 months of football. The first lay off cost us to many points

As for Morata style I think it would be okay here. He's decent holding the ball, has a bit of pace ( average ) and has a real goal instinct ( unlike Janssen )

For the money probably.

When he can leave it one more season and still go over there whenever he wants? You're probably right, but it seems crazy to me.

If reports are to be believed he wanted to go in Jan. Costa doesn't really seem the type to really care about those things.

Two good strikers, sure. Morata is more than a good striker though. Even with Kane missing the games he has, it would still restrict Morata to what, 10-12 Prem starts a season? This is a player that is pushing to be Spain's first choice and someone you'd have to pay 30 million plus and 100k a week for. You're 100% right that you need more depth up front, I just cannot see Morata being second choice. He's had to deal with that at Real Madrid and at times Juve.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He says so himself:

"I need games as a starter, continuity, and over the last three years I haven’t had that: at Juventus, for certain reasons, and at Madrid its difficult. I have that desire to start more, then I think I can reach a much higher level."

Wherever he does go (if he does) he will want to be first choice.

That's the problem we have - anyone that we sign will be back up to Kane, and that will rule out the top level of strikers. That's why we have someone like Janssen.

I think we are at the position where we are okay spending bigger money ( although we are shocking at doing it ) with higher wages.

I don't think we'd get him as bigger clubs would go for him but we need to aim for these players if available.

Our flexible formation also would allow for two strikers to be played. Dele pretty much is a striker anyway.

There is a shortage of real good strikers ATM though

Isn't Costa desperate to go back to Atletico? And Simeone is staying I believe.

They will sell Griezmann and Costa will replace him.

Apparently Lacazette is already being lined up as Griezmanns successor.

I don't think Greizmann leaving is as clear cut as people think. Especially now Simeone is staying.

Is that definitely happing about Simeone?

I'm sure I read last week that he has said he'll be there next season. That said, if they have another brutal CL final defeat, it may tip him over the edge!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
be good for AM if he does but yeah don't think he could take another final defeat

Arsenal should be going after him. I can't believe the amount of Arsenal fans that don't want him though. He'd turn them into title contenders in 2 seasons.

Sshh let's leave those caaants with Wenger

According to that they are expected to try and sign Costa again in the summer.

While Griezmann leaving may not be set in stone, I doubt they need him to in order to sign Costa. Atletico must be pretty loaded with all the CL money they get and their sensible transfer policy.

First choice at Juve, gets some games at Real, second choice to Kane - not a chance. It's a step down and he'll be playing for a smaller club. Makes little to no sense. He'll go to Chelsea, especially with the Conte factor.

Good to see we showed some intent in the summer. Although I'm not overly convinced by him just yet.

Griezmann is more than likely to stay at Atleti. He and Simeone want at least a season at the new stadium before they leave.
