Apparently they are foiling terrorist attacks on a regular basis. Amazing how few of them result in a conviction.

With a conviction means a public sentence and a public need to know where they are. Then a human rights activist demanding they be treated humanely with Sky TV, a gym, access to university courses etc

or you could just have it happen off the grid quiettly

I wonder what really happens that the media aren't aware of.

Speaking of what we don't know ala our security services..

There's a piece on today's BBC News site that talks about Stakeknife, a MI5 agent in Belfast who was also the head of the ¡RA's hit squad. He's apparently responsible for at least 18 deaths, people he tortured for info on behalf of the ¡RA all the while feeding the MI5 info on them.

Never saw a day in jail and was never touched by the ¡RA either after his spying was discovered due to it undermining the peace process.

An interesting wee read.
