Agreed. He has his limitations but its almost as if Chelsea fans think he holds us back.
Moses and Alonso have been a revelation this year. Without Alonso, we lack the width going forward, making it very easy to man mark Hazard.
Our weakness for me has always been midfield and recently Costa. Fabregas and Matic look uncomfortable in the formation, and the Kante - Matic partnership offers very little in the big games.
Matic has been garbage in most games hes played this season, bring on naingolain

Agreed with that Biggish, Rose has been missing for $purs for how long? Supposedly the best LB in the country yet they've slipped Trippier in almost seamlessly!

Problem is we really do not have a player to replace Alonso as a wingback.
Potentially Kennedy could play there, but against United wouldn't have been the game to test it.
I doubt it would have changed the game too much, but he certainly would have been better than Azpi and Moses in that position. Also, losing him meant Zouma came in to defence, and we really missed Azpi's presence in the back three.

Hazard was man marked, but that's not to excuse him from being poor today. Costa was far far worse today.

Having said that Darren, the Pog was $hit, almost forgot he was playing, what is wrong with him - do you think people overestimated how good he was?
