Will defo be interesting.
Only thing i'll say with the " has fighting c level fighters hurt AJ ", is Wlad has never really beat anybody of any note either bar Haye, a lot of b / c level fighters too. Also Fury hadn't really beaten anyone of much note before either and went to his backyard and beat him. AJ got home advantage too.
I liked when AJ said he sees the Whyte fight as a loss in his head
That he treats it as a loss

Usually AJ goes into fights confident of beating his opponents, on this occasion it is abundantly clear that he has great respect for Wlad and perhaps a touch of intimidation too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's the fascinating part for me, I think AJ has known deep down that everyone he's fought he would beat as long as he boxed sensibly and with enough patience.
The same isn't necessarily true of Wlad. I've read that Wlad really didn't see Fury as a threat and was caught out. If that's true, as opposed to time just catching up with him, then AJ has his hands full and there is a real pressure to perform.
Personally I'm fascinated to see how AJ's power works on Wlad. He's been down early in his career but he's not been stopped since 2004 and I can't remember the last time he was put down. If AJ can stop him then it's a real statement.
Tyson Fury: AJ is a poor mans Frank Bruno
AJ: Typical Tyson Fury always talking BS around fight time. Same offer as last time. Two ringside tickets, don't bring a plus one, it's for your fat ass.

Can see this being a dull fight - Joshua edging it on points.
For some reason (despite the fact he's bored me for years) I want Klit to win.
a hw fight and fury mouths off trying to keep his name in the headlines during fight week, not a surprise really, I wish he does come bk because he is a character and it would be a very good fight imo with Joshua providing he wins
Starting to come round more and more to Wlad winning this fight. Age is obviously against Wlad and he looked poor against Fury. Then again Fury made him look poor.
The problem for AJ is that he has never fought anyone as good as Klitschko or even anywhere near to as good. Fighting the Dillian Whytes of this world is one thing, fighting a former World Champion who dominated heavyweight boxing for a decade or so is something else entirely.
AJ responding to Fury's taunts on Twitter was out of character for AJ, he didn't need to do that. I'd say he's starting to feel the pressure in the run up to the fight because he knows this is an entirely different test and level to anything he's done before.

I know what you mean but I wanted to pick up on one thing you said, that Wlad was poor against Fury but that Fury made him look poor.
That's absolutely true and I've seen it written several times. I think what is often overlooked is that Wlad was also really poor against Jennings the fight before. He got a win against a man who really isn't that good by jabbing and hugging.
I buy the argument that Fury made Wlad look bad, I'm less inclined to believe Jennings also made him look bad.
Wlad's last good performance was in 2014. That's a long time between drinks when you're in the twilight of a boxing career.
I'm not saying it'll be easy for AJ but for me there are more question marks around what Wlad brings to the ring than just the Fury fight.
Yeah good points about Wlad not looking good against Jennings either although could it be a bit of complacency had been setting in with Wlad for those last two fights?
Wlad himself said that he took Fury too lightly and wasn't prepared as well as he could have been so without seeing a Wlad vs Fury 2 fight it's difficult to know if that's the truth or not.
Either way this is a Wlad who feels he has something to prove and who wants to regain his heavyweight belts. I'd say that doesn't bode as well for AJ as if he was fighting a Wlad who'd already been Champ for a decade and was possibly losing his hunger.

If he still has that level of performance in him then yeah. I'm growing more skeptical as the fight nears.
A few months ago I thought Wlad's experience and desire to prove the doubters wrong would probably see him through. I'm beginning to wonder if the tools are there. I'm beginning to think AJ will do this.
Yeah AJ can definitely win. Not saying he can't. Wlad certainly won't be able to jab and hold all night against AJ and no doubt that Wlad is past his best now. At 41 he has to be. It's a really difficult one to call, I'm still giving the edge to Wlad though.

I'm actually looking forward to this fight. It's a HW bout where no result would really surprise me, how often can you say that about this division!

Wlad has no chance, they've hyped it up and said the right things to sell it. He has no chance, simple as that, this is purely a passing of the baton fight. Wlad was gone 3 years ago, he might think he still has it but he doesn't, the spark and that thing is gone. Calzaghe said you wake up one day and you know, and Wlad knows you can see it in his eyes and by his last couple of fights.
AJ who i'm still not sold on yet either could knock him out within 3 rounds if he wanted but he has too much respect for him, which is why it'll drag to about 6-10 rounds, but AJ will still want the stoppage for his resume.
50/50 fight no fkin chance though. I'll give anyone on here odds of 10/1 on Klitschko on Ladbrokes Exchange minimum £200 bet though?
