You are right that these are good and exciting times to be a Spurs fan. As much as this season can play out to be an excellent one for us, it can also finish as one that ends in the other "D" word.

A good season whatever happens, but you do feel we ought to be winning one of the competitions we are in, given how good we are.

Spurtle, I would be disappointed if we end up potless again. Been saying this for years now, its about time Spurs win some trophies. Now the league I can accept is a very hard task and whilst I'll be a little gutted, I'll certainly bite anyone's arm off for 2nd place but we really should be winning this Fa cup. It's about time this club adds a trophy to its name.

Don, I think most people now accept we are the best team in the league at the moment, and should therefore be taking one of the FA Cup or the league, since we have a chance in both (the league less so).

I might accept if we go out in the FA Cup by some inept decision while playing very well, but there wouldn't be any excuse if it ends up a performance like we saw in the CL.

Speaking of the 'D' Word we are building a new

(61),000 capacity stadium

and

(17),000 capacity single tier home stand.

Make of that what you will but maybe the designers have foreseen the future

Yes spurtle I can accept going out if we were on it at 100% but we're just unlucky but I would still think to myself " we are nearly men " ..... Spurs always nearly men. Come close to winning stuff but always fall flat at the last hurdle. This season it needs to change and it's about time a winning mentality ( trophies ) were added to our cabinet. Fa cup win and 2nd place would be a fantastic season but we have to win something.

Galv, that's my fear. We have been absolute class when the pressure has been off and we have been picking up points before Chelsea play but will be the same old Spurs Saturday ? Choke when the going gets tough. We have everything in our locker to beat Chelsea sat.

We have to make sure we're clinical enough when we play Chelsea. We've been beating teams 4-0 recently but in actual fact they should have been by much bigger scores.

If we can be clinical and keep our heads then we should win on Sat.

Great thing is our defence. I have confidence every game with Toby and Verts at the back so we are always going into games with confidence we can keep a clean sheet.

The good thing is that Chelsea should be feeling the pressure as much as we will, and with us cutting the gap on them in the league, they might lose some focus on this match.

Of course I could be wrong about everything I've just said.

Yeh and Costa is playing like a c** and has been since the China rumours. Apparantly it's like they are playing with 10 men

Great article as always Taxi

I am enjoying it, and if it ends it ends. I am confident we are up there to stay now.

If we finish 2nd or 3rd so be it.

If we lose the semi, or final, I will get over it. Although it will be the bigger disappointment of the two.

But imagine if we win the thing?

It would be a delicious irony if we overtook Chelsea with a win v Leicester in the penultimate game, and left them staring at finishing 2nd in a 1 horse race.

The biggest bottle in PL history that will be . They are soiling their y fronts at the thought of it, you had better believe it

and Chelsea havent kept a clean sheet in 10 games!

I think some of our struggles at Wembley this season might be overcome by playing 3 at the back, which I dont think we have done so far.

It is a little bit of a bigger pitch, meaning a high press and a pressing game can leave spaces so that even just an aimless punt up field can prove dangerous. 3 at the back gives us that little bit extra protection and as we have seen this season it doesnt inhibit our attacking side. I expect a tight game though and if it comes down to defences then ours is the best!

HRH, yes they are s** it trust me and I have a lot of Chelsea mates. One of my cockiest Chelsea friend has even tx me saying he don't expect to win Saturday they are sh*** themselves and have fear of messing up the league

I wonder how Chelsea would respond if we beat them in the cup? Would they start sulking and let it affect their league form, or would it make them work doubly hard to make sure they win the league? Hard to know.

I remember when we lost to Portsmouth in the FA Cup in 09/10, it seemed to spur us on in the league.

As a chelsea fan I have much the same feelings.

This season has been fantastic considering what happened last year. Just happy to be up at the top of the table again.
Not really worried about spurs or footy to an extent like some of the people on here are. Enjoy it if we win it, deal with it if we don't.

Most Spurs fans my age have never seen a league title or league challenge so would be good for them.
