Haha still laughing at Shearer being a patronising cnt towards Jenas

Read on Twitter, they didn't get along from their Newcastle days..

To be honest, it's good Jenas said what he felt. Not knocking his punditry abilities. Just the way Shearer dealt with him

Jenas is far too wooden for me so it was nice to see his passion yesterday.

Spurs for me were the better team by some distance yesterday Ruud Gullit said it as well at half time and Chelsea were leading then and no one is laughing at him.

Chelsea won and scored 4 so Shearer and Lamport had him cornered but he was right

You couldn't get out your own half, your first corner came with 15 mins to go. You got away with one yesterday, let's leave it at that.

Nope. Let's leave it at this-
4-2

Well said WW

Don't be trying to patronise us on how superior you are when you failed, just like a lot of you kept saying you were a better team than Leicester last year when the League table clearly indicated you were not.

The better team wins every match. It never happens that a team can play better than the other but lose. Shearer knows this. Gullit and Jenas might as well give up with their analysis

Chelsea fans accept this fact. Which is why all of them say that Palace were the better team at Stamford Bridge a couple weeks back, and that Utd were clearly better at Old Trafford

Fair play Analogue. btw also congrats on having a great team yourselves, this is potentially the best Spurs team that I can remember.

Analogue is one of few Spurs fan who is very honest and realistic with his views

I don't recall any Chelsea fan at all saying we deserved to win at OT. If they were they need to be recaptured quickly!!

not true i remember a few years ago we were away at Birmingham and had like 85% posession many corners about 25 shots at goal and lost 1-0

what spurs are forgetting is that they played a tacticly flawed game by pressing that hard against the best counter attacking side probaby in europe right now.
Getting beat bad was always on the cards, and exactly what happened. This was Contes plan, use our two fastest players to wear down the spurs backs then when they were getting on top bring on a fresh Hazard and Costa game changed immediatly. And what the spurs fans dont know is that in the last 15 mins we could have scored more but they were all at home by then.

True. You can be the better team or play the better football and still lose. It's when people use the word 'deserve' that it becomes an incorrect review of a game.

Any team that has all the possession and chances and still loses would not deserve the win because they didn't make the best use of their domination. Unless of course the referee has a big say in the game that helps out the winning team, in which case it's very much up for debate.

This is true. I could see us getting a 5th when they were chasing the game. Costa should have done better with his header.

Did they ran out of steam or they just gave up as soon as Hazard scored ?

Game was finished after Matic scored his 'once in a few seasons' goal. We conceded defeat at that point.

posted on 23/4/17

Difficult to tell for sure but their body language after Matic's worldy indicated to me that they knew that they were done at that point. For what should have been a more tense affair than it was it was actually quite comfortable because they were just passing the ball to each other in front of us which may explain why for all that possession they created very few actual moments of danger. Their goals were brilliant though.

posted on 23/4/17

The first goal was a weird one, did expect Kane to to score a header from a low ball. Their second goal was good though, but our defenders switched off.

*didn't

I personally thought that Ake could have been slightly tighter on Kane but was caught out (like we all were) by just how low Kane ducked to produce a brilliantly deft header. He didn't even need to look where the goal was, he just knew. Fair play to that.

posted on 23/4/17

I thought Ake played really well yesterday. As you said he he probably didn't expect it. For the second goal he should have paid attention to Alli second goal but the assist from Eriksen was world class though.

By the way Eriksen was their best player , so dangerous with his deliveries. We could do with someone like him in our side
