If we had Bale we would likely win the league next year. He has progressed since Spurs into a much better player. Plus his latest injury is a hamstring and he is out for 3 weeks, it's hardly the worst thing in the world...

Seems to have missed a lot of games this season. Also seems to have one or two pretty lengthy spells on the sideline per season.

Just looked at his stats and he's only played 30 league games once in 4 years at Madrid and only 5 times in his career.

He's also nearly 28 and for a player who's mostt important attributes are pace and power who knows when he will start to decline.

I don't think he has the footballing brain of a Ronaldo to continue to be highly effective when his legs begin to go.

It'll be interesting to see whether Madrid look to move him on in the near future if his injuries persist. They could still get big bucks for him from PSG or the premier league. Though him being a one in two goal scorer is reason enough for them to keep him despite his injuries.

Yeah fair shout. I think with his injury problems being a lot worse than Bale's there won't be as many teams desperate to sign him, though. And with him being a Dortmund boy they're probably still happy to have him in the squad.

From what I've been reading, there's a fair chance that Douglas Costa will be available in the summer.

I'd love him or a player like him. Wingers don't seem to be in our DNA anymore though.

I think if we're playing CL football next season, we'll get Griezmann and he'll be our wide forward/support striker and we'll look for a striker.
