Good article OP, it is a real test of this Spurs sides mentality when the pressure is on and how they bounce back after a difficult defeat at the weekend.

But whatever happnes the sigs are there that you're consistently improving as a team and while I've seen lots of comments saying Poch was wrong to say Spurs are on a level historically to united I don't personally see the issue with that, for me he is trying to instill the belief across the club that Spurs are here to mix it at the very top.

What's Big Sam's record like v you? This palace team is good, has good players throughout the team and are really good at defending deep, we'd the guts of 80% posession v them at home and had liek one shot on target, awful team to play against.

One of the big progressions we've made this season is getting results vs the parked bus. Struggled a bit last season and dropped points with a lot of draws and we started the same this season (although were lacking real form as well). The switch to 3 at the back has helped, the wing backs bomb forward, Vertongehn steps into midfield, Alli becomes a 2nd striker, Eriksen floats around, Son cuts in from wide and we create and score a lot of goals.

I dont fear us not scoring. I fear more what Palace could do on the break. SHould be a really good game as we need to win, theyd probably take a point but are in confident mood so will likely attack.

Difference between Spurs an LFC is that if we get 80% possession we'll win where as LFC are still not certain of keeping a clean sheet. Palace thumped Arsenal with about 27% possession but I think we have the physicality & pace to match Palace, certainly more than LFC and Arsenal do.

I think we'll win tonight and then lose or draw one of the other games where there are so many different subplots i.e. lose or draw to Arsenal and Arsenal can say they killed off our chances, lose or draw to Man United and it's Jose helping out his old team, lose or draw to Leicester and it's them repaying Chelsea the favour for last season.

You know there's going to be some extra edge to it....that's how football works.

I think we are gonna win the rest of our games. Chelsea will lose at Everton and only get a draw at West Brom. We will win the league by a point with Kane bagging 3 at Hull, the 3rd will be 25 yard screamer in the 89th min ! .... Last year at the Lane and all that !!!!! Its written in the stars !!!! COYS

We`ll drop points in the run in, and we will have to win every game to have any chance, so I have already resigned myself that the title is Chelsea`s.

We must make sure we finish second though, none of this end of season collapses any more.

I don't think our run in as bad as people are making out.... Palace, West Ham & Leicester are all safe (will have one foot on the beach), Hull will be fine by the last game of the Season. United are crippled by injuries & will have focus on Europa League & Arsenal are Cr@p and deserve a final battering at lane. For once spurs are gonna surprise us !! This is gonna be some freaky higher power shlt. Instead of finally breaking our hoodoo at the bridge we are do Chelsea out of the title !!!!

With a 2 point advantage and 2 games in hand, it would take a horrendous run in to finish 3rd. The pressure is off now, WHL will be rocking for the rest of the season, I think you'll comfortably finish 2nd.

30 Years of thinking the worse !! I'm done with that ! At this point ... thinking top 4 is lock as is finishing above the Nomads so what do we have to lose !!! Saturday's tactical cock-up aside, we have been the best side in the country for 4 months, we are only fighting on 1 front. Rose sb back Sunday & Walker has had decent rest of late so why not. I know Chelsea are great going forward, but defensively they are vulnerable..... No clean sheet in 11 games... Im probably outta my mind but our luck has to change sometime right ? At least, unlike last year, most people/ teams would probably rather us win it than the plastics..... Hopefully a few half-ar5ed efforts against us to come !

Whether in or out of Europe the game is only 3 days after your semi final so will have a impact regardless

Agreed. Then again you should have been favourites at OT, being the better team, as shoulder Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Who knows.

We fight until the end. I don't anticipate them slipping up sufficiently but it is what it is, lots to play for:

2nd place
Record points haul
Kane retaining the golden boot
Helping deny Arsenal and Man Utd champs league football

I think we'll lose against Chelsea, after Saturday's awful showing they are already on their hols as the beach towels were well and truly laid out.

Although mathematically still possible, I think the players have given up on achieving higher than 7th and so are just consolidating that position.

My prediction 1-2

I don't believe we can hunt Chelsea down. We are relying on them to slip up and they have some pretty straightforward fixtures left.

OP, we have already won 14 of last 17 games in league. Winning our next 3 would be 17 out of 20 which is frankly out of this world

Chelsea will win Premier League this season, and wouldn't be at all surprised if Palace beat us tonight!
