Definately SAFs biggest mistake in hindsight.
Sunderland will probably get relegated again next season.
He has done gods work. Goodbye Sunderland
rumour is moyes is set to quit football and take up professional slapsies

They will if Moyes is still in charge, he'll be telling them in pre season training about the impending relegation dogfight

Man Utd ruined him. The Torres of managers. Love this picture though:

Just goes to show all those years at Everton he was just holding them back. Crap manager, I'm a big fan of his though.
Can't believe Moyes was given a 6-year deal at Man Utd

They haven't exactly improved much since he left
Congratulations to Moyes for getting out of the Premier League, not easy in your first season attempt!
Had he stayed at United, he might still have got relegated three years, 11 months and 21 days after he was appointed Manchester United manager.

They weren't.
Poor bloke developed a decent reputation at Everton and did pretty well. Now he'll probably be confined to mainly Championship jobs.
Tyne-Wear Rivalry
Sunderland down - Newcastle up
Really happy Sunderland are down, offered NOTHING to the PL in any season except when finished 7th with Quinn and Phillips leading the line nearly 20 years ago.
Old, slow, boring team who have been taking the p*ss out of their fans for years by sleep walking through half a season, get the manager sacked, then string some results together to stay up, repeat.
Good riddance to them *middle finger*
As for Moyes, I actually don't think he learned anything from his time at United, even in his first game back in English football, away at City, they get it back to 1-1, he takes off Defoe for a defender, it was the final 5-10 minutes, you might as well go for all three points, what a statement that would have been.
I read that they've been relegated 4 times from the PL now. That must be a record? I know West Brom have had a few also.

To be honest Jose Mourinho's tactical changes ,in a similar situation, wouldn't be so different either.
Feel sorry for JOS. One minute you're nutmegging Figo, and 15 years later you're getting relegated with Sunderland.....
