I think unfortunately hull might be his level. I still think he could be a decent squad player for us next year but not Klopps cup of tea I don't think.
Gone.
He's done well at hull but still not good enough.
We should get 10m for him in the current climate
he should be hulls best player imo but the fact he isnt proves to me hes nowhere near good enough. Lanzini and even redmond offer more, i would love lanzini at anfield.
I watched the game today, the few times he gets into good positions he doesn't get his head up, hes hitting crosses without even looking if anyones in the box let alone where they are if they are.
Lanzini is a tidy little player, bit of a poor mans Coutinho.
Lanzini would defo improve our squad, he could cover mane and firmino. Exactly the type of quality we now need with europe next year

Nah we need pace out wide.
I think we can get £10-15m for him given his age and he will have a bit more pl experience under his belt.
Lanzini offers nothing that we need.
He isn't better than the options we have and doesn't offer anything different.
We either need a midfield man to dictate play, which he wouldn't do for us, or a pacey wide man to play on the opposite wing to mane or cover for him.
I'd rather go for Antonio from West Ham then Lanzini. Antonio ticks a number of boxes.
Goals, versatility, pace, powerhouse, and great in the air in both boxes.
I think Clyne needs some decent competition too and someone Antonio can play there if needed.
Gone.
I think all of the more experienced players we have put on loan are pretty much gone - Markovic, Sakho, Flanagan, Wisdom.
Reckon Danny Ward might be gone at the end of the season too. He's the same age as Karius so not exactly a youngster anymore.

What are you basing that on? He's meant to have been decent for Huddersfield this year and if they were to get promoted i'd imagine we'd loan him out to them again so he gets a full season in the prem.
Markovic is a goner.
He's alright but not good enough for where we want to be.
We can easily get £12m for him though, if not more.
Klopp said the other day Ward would be coming back this summer so I don't see him leaving. I think he will stay at the club and might get a few games in the domestic cups. Long term he's probably got no future at the club though. Huddersfield fans have said he's decent but not more than that so I can't see him ever being good enough to play regularly for us.
Completely forgotten Wisdom was still on our books. The new contract he signed in 2013 really was such a bizarre decision, he hasn't played a single game for the club since. Probably got one more year left on his contract so might get a small fee for him.
I don't think it was bizarre.
We have had 3 years of loan fees for him probably with wages paid included, or part of them.
It's the modern game. Tie young players down so you can make money out of them.
We could have sold him in 2013 for maybe a couple of million, but we will probably still get that now, and have made that money on him in the last 4 years also.
Not very nice for the player but nobody forced him to sign.

Maybe he'll get another loan, or be 3rd choice for us.
To answer your question of what I'm basing it on I'd use your own words - apparently he's been decent for Huddersfield. If he's going to break into our match day squad then he needs to be more than decent. He's not a youngster anymore, I just can't see him making it with us.
Hope I'm wrong and he proves to be excellent but it seems unlikely.
Huddersfield fans don't actually rate him. They've said it many times.

Oh god please no. As an attacker he's good. But he's worse defensively than Moreno, much worse.

Chelsea don't seem to mind as they are linked to him today. A better version of Moses.
Chelsea play with wing backs.
They have the extra defender for cover and two sitters in front of the back 3.
Antonio is a good player but wouldn't suit us at all.
Klopp has been toying with 3 at the back but we don't have the RWB to make that happen. Anyway i was thinking of Antonio as an alternative to Mane rather than bring him into our defence.
