Yeah, the day after Man City draw with one of the worst teams in PL history you declare they will win their remaining games

Not to mention Liverpool losing to palace and having an awful records against teams in the bottom half

We've beaten every side in the bottom half this season, bar Bournemouth....so.

And lost to a few of them so....

No, it's not decided, that's ridiculous. The top two are. Third and fourth are very much up for grabs, with only one point separating fifth from third.

Oh well sorry for losing a few matches over a season. I would rather lose the games we have and beat the sides around us than the other way round. If we'd lost to Arsenal both times and beaten two other teams, we'd be level with them. As it is, we are 6pts above them. For example...

Sorry, we'd actually be 6 BEHIND them

Are we the only team that drops points to the lower teams? The fact is, we play so well against the other top sides that people assume we should brush aside everyone. That's not how it works.....

We always seem to lose at home to Palace now, it's our bogey game. Our record against the lower teams in the league is massively exaggerated.

Firm...agree. In fact a decent LB, DM and a couple of quality players in forward positions and I reckon the 6 losses we have so far will be a lot less next season.

Long way to go yet. We need 9 points from 4 matches imo.

Arsenal will still find a way

If we don't win tonight then the pressure is back on

If we draw then it wouldn't be the worst result in the world...

But a loss would be unacceptable

Major get out of jail card for Liverpool yesterday. You should expect to finish in the top 4 now.

City have got 3 home games against teams with nothing to play for, Palace are pretty much home and hosed, so you have to back them to be winning those games. Pool have to be beating Southampton and Boro at home which means they'll need an away win either tonight or against the Hammers. You've got to back them to pull it off. Arsenal are 6 points off with a game in hand and would need to win all their games to have a chance (assuming City and Pool get 3 wins out of 4). Out of their remaining games I can only see them getting a maximum of 3 wins, they've got no chance for me. And Utd would need to better both City and Pool. Can anyone see them doing that when they've got Arsenal and Tottenham away to negotiate? I don't think so.

If I were a City or Pool fan, I'd fully expect to be playing CL football next season. No naivety there, it would be a massive feck up by either side to let it go now.

Yesterday was good, yes. I haven't seen Rashford's swan dive, apparently it was quite spectacular. Both of the Mancs just didn't do good enough.

That having been said, I couldn't give a toss about their outcomes. All that interests me for now is tonight. Nothing else really matters. We have (the remains of) a good squad, we walloped them at Anfield.

Get us a result boys.

No chance is the top 4 decided yet. Liverpool have a fantastic chance to gain control of the top 4 places tonight with a win over Watford and open up a gap with little games left to play.

United still have Arsenal and Spurs to come away from home and regardless what either of them teams are playing or not playing for, United I think will draw both of them I think, which gives Liverpool and City a great chance. City themselves don't look in great shape either, a bit inconsistent at the moment as well still.

Liverpool's chance is tonight to take a firm grip of the top 4 and underline what a fantastic job Klopp has done this year with quite a shallow squad as well.

Not so long ago, the same people more or less on here, were ruling out Spurs from top 4, and in fact GB had Spurs vying with Everton for the 6th spot.

In terms of Pool's and City's latest results: Palace needed a win to put real daylight between themselves and the relegation zone and they've also done really well versus the big boys lately, beat Chelsea away and battered Arsenal at home, while Pool's loss was only their 2nd at home all season. I'd look at that game as an aberration the team will bounce back from.

City should've beaten Boro but it was always going to be a niggly game with Boro fighting for their lives in front of their own fans on the back of their first win this year, so confidence was up. I don't think we should use that game as a marker of what City will do in their remaining fixtures either.

Maybe don't start planning trips to Bayern and Barca just yet, but it's tantalizingly close to being a foregone conclusion in my view.

I'l hold my hands up and say I did forecast Tottenham and Arsenal to miss out this season when making predictions around the halfway mark. Was spectacularly wrong on Tottenham, my bad, I didn't foresee how powerful, hungry and organised Poch would make them. Still, got it bang on with Arsenal (barring a miracle), so I predicted 3 of what will almost certainly be the eventual top 4, not too bad.
