I wonder if 90% of the fans in Manchester support Man Utd.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Getting confused with Croydon mate!
"They announced it as a record attendance. But it wasn’t full. How can you not fill your own stadium for a game like that?
They keep saying they’re going to rule the world with Pep Guardiola next season, but they can’t even fill their own ground.
Manchester United are struggling but you still can’t get a ticket for Old Trafford"
Paul Merson after a City game last season
Now I think Merson is a spoofer but he got that spot on.
What did he say that was wrong?
All of it, essentially. There was plenty you couldn't get a ticket for. Didn't mean it was full though, which Arsenal in particular suffer from hugely, and you do
At times too. Not sure who the "they" were that said about ruling the world either but it certainly wasn't the club.
City aren't a big enough draw for tourists yet.

...
Don't think they ever will be appreciated as much as the traditionally big and successful clubs.

I'm sorry but this is nonsense. City are advertising tickets almost every week on the radio. Quite often cheaply too.
I can guarantee you that we sold out a fair bit last year as there were a few I couldn't get tickets for.
. You advertise on the radio too, that's for corporate and hospitality.
Are these serious opinions btw or is it just a wum, I have to ask.

You mean "traditionally big and successful" as in Chelsea?
City are already 7th in the tourist table, but still only about 30% of the tourists United get.
What's the tourist table?!
If you have plenty of people willing to travel hundreds of miles for 90 mins then you are doing something right for me.
It's always been a idiotic thing to throw at us.

I've heard many adverts on the radio for city home games where 'adults are £20 and under 16's are £10'. Not just corporate.
Even if a game is technically sold out it's irrelevant if 10,000 don't show up.

Foreign tourists attending Premier League matches.
The only time you would have heard that is if there has been a returned allocation from the away club, which has happened a few times. Either way, it still doesn't detract from my point that we sold out plenty of times last year, as we did.
In terms of the percentage that don't turn up, that depends on if the game is moved at late notice a lot of the time. I suggest you research that though as as I said before, that affects Arsenal more than it does us. It's a problem though in terms of reselling of season ticket seats.

Of course you've done something right, but the more travel agents to get selling tickets to United in China, the more and more expensive it will get for you to be able to attend.
Until one day you can't, which is already the situation for many whose parents and grandparents took to the footy as kids and helped make the club great in the first place.
Or cup games. Thinking about it, I can't think of any league games that have ever been priced like that apart from maybe the stoke game (I don't remember that either though tbh)
5. O that's improved their GD. Could be important.
Ah the united board talking about empty seats, how many of you actualy go?
Bog off ffs 😂

It was it properly put things back in our favour
Mmmph, City are hitting form, what can I use against them today;
arabs plaything?
empty seats?
no history?
Oh lets go for the middle one today shall we, so original <yawn>
Should be a requirement that CL teams score at least 65 goals on a 38 game season to qualify as boring people to death with Pulis wannabe tactics will hardly bring the crowds thronging in long term.
