Definitely the most entertaining ballon d'or winner I've seen

Probably the best footballer I've ever seen, it just felt like he was unplayable at times! Some of the things I've seen him do I haven't seen anyone else do as good as him, even Messi and Ronaldo... Maradona was before my time but I've heard he was like that at times too

That samba penalty was outrageous!

Overrated waster, a poor mans Jay Jay Okotcha.

If he didn't have a fancy foreign name and was called Ronald Deeno he'd have been playing for Stoke.

Maradona with the protection today's refs give attackers?

I wonder how many individual awards he'd have had

Probably one of the few football freestylers that made it at the highest level. Normally these show boats get exposed but on his day he was unplayable.

Unreal player. He played a through ball off his back to set up a goal, ffs!

Maradona was unbelievable insofar as he took a poor Serie A side in Napoli and made them a top, top team. Well, they weren't a top team, it was just that he happened to play for them.

This is why Maradona was better than Pele and -arguably- better than Messi and Ronaldo. Pele, Messi and Ronaldo have always surrounded themselves with other top players. Maradona grabbed a poor Napoli and a bang-average Argentina and took both to the top.

He was amazing. But Maradona is no1 for me. Got a brilliant Mexico 86 doc on video(!) that I watched endlessly as a kid, that guy was unreal on the ball - low centre of gravity combined with beyond exceptional close control and deceptive pace, made him completely unplayable at his best.

Yeah, I rate his gol against Belgium in the semi final more than the England one. They were actually defending!

Swivel pass to Burruchaga in the final was perfect. Also the run and lay off to Cannigia to tuck up Brazil in 90.

Prosinecki is always a 'must buy' on a free transfer on Championship Manager 96/97. Bosses the midfield for me.

And this knee strike K.O. Ronaldinho couldn't do that.

i believe Carlos Tevez was as good as Maradonna at his prime and the same qualities. But Ronhaldino was better than both plus hes scored against Chelsea something that Messi has never done
