Hotel you in at Kaiser fridge
We are stopping at Kanaskar hotel. Presume we will be drinking around the main square. All Derby Rams on tour
I'm in the same hotel wassa with my lad. My mum and dad are in the city hotel so I will meet them at st martins platz where the bars are
Strangely Aden Flints dad as asked which hotel I'm in. Just in case he goes
It was called Sachs I think?
Centre of town anyway so handy for stumbling home later after a few
Fridge, if you've not been there before, go to the Thiepval Memorial. It has all the names of the thousands of soldiers whose bodies couldn't be found ie blown to pieces.
After Oradour sur Glane it is the most awe inspiring place I have ever visited and very interesting to see how many other nation's soldiers died in WW2.
VC10
I've been before but will be going again as bringing a mate who hasn't. I've got family on there somewhere. Will be going to a few places round that area, quite a few years since I've been but I doubt it's any less moving second time round.
I went to oradour on the way to limoges airport once, what a place. Haunting.
Fridge, we seem to like similar things. I love touring around France, nearly everywhere you go you find fascinating places and they have left their town centres alone and they encourage you to visit with "parking libre centre ville"
P.S. I'm so sad at the way our season ended and when I look at the 4 play off teams I feel we have really missed our chance. And when I see some of the failed players mentioned on our incoming list I feel we will not do much better next year.
I hope we go for a better class of player than Villa rejects and 1 season wonders from Bristol. I think GR will do the job, but I reckon it will take a few years.
"Work in Progress!" again.
Tbf I haven't missed Derby County spoiling my Saturday today.
I love France too mate, even lived there for a while. Wish I could go back more often than I do!
Have faith, GR will get us firing and Saturdays will become something to look forward to again!
Hope you are right Fridge. But I'm not convinced with GR yet. Not to say I will. I'm going to give him time but as of yet I haven't seen any improvement. Just need him to dirt the squad out in the summer and hit the ground running in Aug. Until then I'm enjoying my weekends without the team ruining it
I feel the same as you Griff He talks the talk but can he walk it? I will be interested to see what sort of player he buys and I hope it is the Davison/Hector type, from a smaller club who will improve and add value. Not old ex Premier players on the way down.
Nahki Wells came from Bradford City for not much and now some of us want to pay silly money for him. I may have mentioned this before but it is the Rochdales and Bradfords of this world we need to look at.
Look at the Rochdales and Bradfords? Sounds like a grooming gang day out.
I find GRs interviews abit patronising. Eg getting beat 4-0 at Brentford and he came out with "it's not good enough" well I'm glad he said that because I stood watching the game and until he aid that I didn't have a clue. Big 1st 3 months of the season next autumn
What were you expecting him to say, Griff?
Damned if he did, damned if he didn't there; if he'd tried to tell you he found some positives you've have condemned his as delusional, but he calls it exactly as you saw it and you still slate him? Tell us what he could have said after that performance that you'd have been happy to hear.
He needs to strike a balance between caning the existing players to the point where he drives their transfer values down, and not blowing smoke up our arѕeѕ trying to tell us the sky is green and the grass blue. He'll need a few windows to get some kind of shape back into a bloated squad various managers have added Wasserman Media Group players to, hopefully with players who've a bit of desire left in them.
It does mean at least another transistional season but that's not Rowett's fault.
Yes 666, work in progress, we are back to your mate Nigel's days. Nearly everything in between has been a total waste of money.

... with the only discernible differences being that whereas Your Nige got all the credit for the wage reduction and signings with not so much as a nod to GSE, now they're all deinitely all exclusively Uncle Mel's fault, and secondly that we now have a manager who is not hopelessly out of his depth

We won't find out till next season I hope he picks a better team than the loony did in his first game. I think he will

Unless he signs Ched Evans, Lee Hughes, Joey Barton, and Adam Johnson this summer I think that's a safe bet, VC!
Ched Evans was found not guilty of r@pe, as many posters told you at the time of the first trial. I feel sorry for the bloke having to spend time in jail for a crime he didn't commit. I wonder how much compo he will get?
He was rather sleazy though, but this is not illegal.
P.S. You forgot that goalkeeper who had the car crash while Rsoled. McCormack I think, but not sure.
So, as the time draws nearer, who are we actually going to be seeing on the pitch in Germany?
I'm at Macclesfield the week before but I have a suspicion that may be a more widely drawn squad for that game, I expect Germany is intended as a find your best XI exercise?
