Have you ever wondered why they still bang on about Roman? 14 years since his takeover and 11 since he personally invested in the transfer budget they still go on. Liverpool, United and even Arsenal fans let it go ages ago but there is section of Spurs fans who just can't, ever wondered why?
Not because we have a dedicated owner while they are stuck with tight stooge Levy (although i can imagine that doesn't help), it's because they spent the best part of half a century spending loads of money to try and become a dominant force at home and abroad. Jimmy Greaves, Ossie Ardiles, Gary Lineker etc came in with obscene wages (the former even broke the transfer record) that few if any other clubs could compete with, yet aside from a few FA Cup's they totally fecked it up, they spectaclularly failed in there attempt's to become a side regularly challenging at the top end of football.
That's why they are so bitter, that's why they go on about how anyone can be successful spending money to try and discredit us because they tried to do exactly the same thing and made an absolute pigs ear of it. There's one word that is thought off when Tottenham Hotspur is mentioned and that's failure, even there own fans subconsciously admit it (moaning about being "cursed".
I'm personally loving the thought of the Goonz going to the butt end of Europe in September to play in the euromick
$puds should do ok in the CL...but they'll always think of how the bottled it at West Ham when the going got tough

Not to mention their continuing capitulation at Wembley in the FA semi...their new home....
I've absolutely loved this season as a Spurs fan. The best in my lifetime.
Finishing 2nd and finally getting Champions League football after many years of failed attempts is a good achievement though. The same goes with Liverpool, it is an achievement because the CL is massively hyped up so much nowadays that its actually almost better to finish in the Top 4 than win a trophy, even one like the FA Cup.
Spurs I'd say are now a well established Top 4 side imo that for the next few years, I can't see finishing any lower than 4th and that's what is important now. Now they can focus on winning trophies because everybody loves silverware for a club.
But you look at 2 years ago. Pundits were saying United would be better off finishing 4th than winning the FA Cup, but the FA Cup is just a bonus really. The Top 4 is so hyped up by the media now. The financial benefits of the CL and finishing 3rd last season and 2nd this season will be much more important than 2 FA Cup's, but a 5th place finish in both of them seasons.

They should do ok but did u see them in Europe this year they were worse than a joke. I mean Genk? are you mad??.
I think Spurs fans know what it takes to be a big big team.
As of right now, they are on track to do big boy things.
They have bragging rights over Arsenal fans this year.
Why can't they enjoy it.
Maybe there's a sense of fear creeping in.
Competition should be embraced. It's a good thing.

The Genk squad cost less combined than a Moussa Sissoko, but apparently Spurs can't win trophies because they get beat by big spending clubs
Won the league
Talk about Spurs

Spurs could end up third seeds and find themselves in the Europa again next season.
And hope to avoid European's powerhouse Gent

The respective seasons of Chelsea and United male it pretty clear who was to blame
2 leagues in 3 years not a bad return in the PL . We don't expect you to understand because you support a team that dominate their league.

So glad chelsea won the league, I don't think I would have been able to put up with spurs fans if they had, I mean they are almost unbearable now despite winning nothing.
