Arsenal ambition summarised over the last 20 years....

Started with wining the title and domestic cups.....

Then simply "challenging" for the title was ok.....

Then 9 years trophyless but top four was acceptable....

Now 5th place and a trophy is acceptable

Still doesn't change the fact you've won F all in what could be called your best season since the black and white era. For spurs to finish above Arsenal, Arsenal have to have their worst season since 1995. Coincidence? I think not. Arsenal have shown what they can do when at their best and proved yesterday they can be poor and still win silverware. Spurs at their very best still don't know how to win games when it matters. I'm talking semis and finals, not 3 points for runners up in the position Arsenal finished last season. You pray a finished manager stays which proves you know Arsenal are being held back suggesting spurs are in a false position.
Do you really think spurs can keep their best players without winning anything? They will wake up soon after the honeymoon period is over like Bale and Modric did.

Players can change their minds. Bale proved this. Spurs, Kane and Alli will soon get some sense kicked into them and realise that silverware top wages are more important than a season above direct rivals. If Madrid come in for any of your players like Bale, they are off and spurs come crashing down again. When fans try to demean a trophy when their rival win it, it's pretty certain they are jealous. Chelsea fans haven't had to be bitter. Spurs fans are shouting it from the rooftops, everybody's laughing.

It shows there's a debate to be had at the very least.

For me, I would not swap it, a trophy at the end of a very bad season has made it all the sweeter.

I'm sure you'll argue otherwise though.

Don't think anyone can argue that. They won the FA Cup last season and won a European trophy this season to go with CL qualification.

Both have been terrible yet have won more than the likes of Spurs, Liverpool and even City. Trophies are what matter 👍
