He's got 2 years on his deal, he could see them out on great money and leave on a free at the tender age of 30.
Or with Sanchez leaving this summer, you'll need him!
An average of 1 goal in 3 in the PL. (10 goals in 28 appearances)
5 goals in 3 FA Cup appearances.
Fantastic season for a wide player if you ask me.
He still scored 19 goals and was our 2nd top scorer this season. From April onwards he started what 2 games? It's as if people expect him to score 30 goals every single season!
I think the success of Rosberg last season has dented his confidence. That coupled with the emergence of Bottas and the return of Vettel etc. his confidence must be at an all time low. He has always been a really promising prospect, but now he is at his peak, he has to be more than just a prospect. He has to deliver.
Can't see how he fits into the 3-4-2-1 system, but will we stay with that - and if we do the option to switch is always important.
I think with a player like Walcott it depends if we get a good offer or not. Rather keep him than let him go cheaply.
DJ spot on as usual, no point forcing him out the door as he can be an effective player but if we did get a good offer I think the time is probably right.
I think Theo knows he's in a very good situation at the moment, his career could have easily gone the same way as a Lennon or Townsend and be slogging it out at some mid table or lower club.

Anyone wanting Walcott sold is nutcase. I think almost all Arsenal fans would say he's been poor this season and we know he can perform a lot better. So might I suggest that selling a player who can rack his stats for this season whilst playing well below par or not at all for most of it, probably isn't the smartest idea.
Would have liked to see him get a go up top with the new formation myself. Still waiting to see Ozil and the attack look anywhere near as good as it did last time Theo was there. Only time Ozil has truly looked the superstar he's capable of being.
It should come down to whether we get a great offer and who could come in to replace him.
He still seems to pop up with goals and assists so no harm in keeping him for now.
IF (big if) we can ship him out and get someone better in then it's not a bad idea.
I can't see him improving and with his injury issues & his age he may soon lose a bit of pace which would see his level drop badly over the next few years.
What's the hoo-hah over his salary as well? People talk like 110k is expensive in today's football money. For what he's capable of that's dam cheap. Not his fault that Wenger hasn't figured the correct rotation to stop breaking him every year.
Ozil wants £300 and people are moaning about Walcott who scored 19 goals in the season

Always been misleading comparing Walcott's stats to genuine wingers.

Yeah. Complained a lot about the car after losing the title to Rosberg, despite having the same car.

If we got a good bid for him im talking £25Mil plus i'd be tempted to sell him. Surely West Ham can gives us £30Mil for him.

For 10m you be hard pressed to find a wide attacker who can get you double figures each season. He aint Messi but give him some credit he is very decent at what he does.

He's fine as a squad player for a big team, as long as you don't mind the fee he's getting. Whether he'll want that for next season with an international tournament coming up is another matter.
If I was him I'd want to move to a lower team for regular football and maybe get to play as a number 9. He isn't a top class player but he'd probably do just as well as someone like Benteke at Palace.
Of course he has his limitations but it would cost a lot of millions to replace his productivity.

I've started thinking of Walcott as a 9-5 footballer. Like the guy that just does the 9-5 to pay his bills etc with no real ambition, that's him. He's been at Arsenal his whole career, turns up, gets paid, plays when he's asked to, sits out when he's asked to, gets on with it all in fairly unspectacular style.
As an Arsenal fan I'd be happy to have a guy who's more than willing to be a squad player, but is capable of getting well into double figures each season and has the pace to change games that aren't going your way. Not a million miles from Son for us, although his impact this season has been of a better standard than Theo, but there are some similarities.
It's all about tempering your expectations. Walcott doesn't seem bothered about being the main man, so if the fans accept that as well and just see him for what he is - a very useful squad player, then it's mutually beneficial for all. If he's happy to be that guy and do that role, why get rid? You won't get anyone better.

Spot on mate. WE WON'T GET ANYONE BETTER!!!!
120k a week is peanuts. If we bought say Zaha for say 30-35m to do Walcotts' job who can say that he'd be any better or consistent?
