The London tourists industry is going to be in tatters if this keeps going on. I thought we were safe in the North but the Manchester bombing proves no one is safe. Less extreme measures would involve counter-intelligence measures both online and in person, infiltrating these groups and splitting them from the inside by getting them arguing amongst themselves on matters of dogma and authority.
This worked in the Cold War (obviously, without the online element) and has worked further back in the past.
The lack of leadership will destabilise and lead to unrest among them.

Weren't the security services busy trying to recruit the rigby killers and wasntbghe Manchester guy on their books?

Turf the suspected out, worse still, turf all muslims out, good or bad. The terrorists are hiding amongst them making it extremely difficult to stop. The country needs to stop p.u55y footing around pc and start to get a grip. This country fought off the germans ffs. If not, get used to this happening often.

You can't protect against it, fully can only do so much which they probably are doing.

Can't lock people up without being convicted either.

An extreme measure would be to take hate figures out completely. Just make them disappear. No media no nothing, just gone.snuffed no muss. But even that wouldn't work fully. And it's a dangerous president to take.

We are living in times where sometimes you just can't police everything. It's a scary place to be.

3000 people actively monitored considered high risk.

As many as 500 credible terrorist plots at any one time.

Around 23000 people flagged up as having links with terrorism.

How do you [police that?
