in any event it will be a decent test against a very good team with nothing really riding on the match.

i seem to remember that most european leagues kick off later than the PL - presumably because they actually have something resembling a summer - so i suppose we ought to be a little further along in terms of pre-season training etc.

Who cares? It's a friendly against 2 sides that have just had a pre season and a long way off being in peak form that means virtually nothing. Nice to win but I don't really care tbh, no different to the Charity Shield.

Fellaine, Damien may maintain their position in the first team for the time being then.
