Probably Chelsea.
So he can score against Mourinhos team
He wants to go back to Chelsea. It's obvious: ex-club, won the title last season, may get to play with his fellow Belgian Hazard, and if goes to United he's going back to the manager who didn't trust him to be good enough back at Chelsea.

I always forget Lukaku is only 24, great goal record for someone that age.

Mike
Yes his goal record is very good for someone his age.
But I will put this in the perspective that needs to be understood by some of our fans.
At 24 Rooney was one of the best in the world and was influential in everything we did.
That is the kind of player we need to be looking at if we are to get back among the elite in Europe.

If he could bang in 35 to 40 goals a season in all competitions consistently, I wouldn't care how peripheral he was in our build up play to be honest.
What we need in is at least one player for the front line who will as good as guarantee a glut of goals. Otherwise we might really struggle to rack up points next season.

I would. I remember how restricted we were in the CL with RVN.
Lukaku has an excellent goal scoring record.
But as sad as this makes me sound………………..
I’d rather have a striker that got my team 15 goals where you could argue, he was the reason/difference than a striker that I feel we would have won the game with or without him but bags 20-25.
At this time I still feel Lukaku is the latter of those 2.
I know that may only make sense to me
I don't particularly want him at Utd, but can see him doing well at Chelsea. I reckon he'll go to Chelsea.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
On the flipside:
- Already lives in Alderley Edge
- Speaks well of Jose
- Raiola is his agent
- Utd are also in the CL
- Pogba is a good friend (closer one than Hazard)
- Hazard could leave
- We actually need a striker
Lukaku isn't my first choice my any means, but if anything Utd seems more likely than Chelsea.
Flash
It makes perfect sense.

Agree VC. People can point to his stats all day, and I'm sure he will score goals wherever he goes. But like everybody says about Zlatan, his style will be detrimental to the team.
Stats never paint a full picture, he has his limitations and it would mean we have to play a certain way.
Let's be brutally honest here. Could you imagine a club like Madrid, Barca or Bayern lining up with Lukaku up top? Their fans wouldn't allow it.

what?
Two of those three teams play with a striker that are mainly about goals and are hardly the slickest footballers ever to grace a pitch.
I don't think his style would be detrimental to our current side under Jose. Maybe if we were managed by Pep or Poch then yes, but we aren't.
Fact is that we've made a lot of chances this season against sides we should be beating but didn't, because we didn't score enough of them. I don't think his style of play would stop us making those chances.
He doesn't play anything like Zlatan, he's a bigger version of Rashford if anything and plays on the shoulder waiting for the ball through or over the top, or crossed in to him.
It wouldn't stop us setting up on the counter like we did against Chelsea when we were impressive, he's fast and can play counter attacking football well.
I'd prefer someone with a bit more of a deft touch, like Kane, but I wouldn't be disappointed with Lukaku and I'm sure he'd surprise some.
It reminds me of what a lot of United Fans used to say to me, when Chelsea signed him from you.
“Hughes is not a great goal scorer, but he’s a scorer of great goals and usually important goals”
That’s the type of striker I would prefer for Chelsea. Or at least a Striker who fits how Conte wants the team to play.
I will get behind Lukaku if he comes back and it’s because Conte wanted him. But I have my serious reservations as to whether his re-signing would be to the ultimate benefit of Chelsea FC.

Bayern playing with Gomez as their CF for years suggests otherwise, if the goals are consistent then you can allow for trickery and skill in other areas.
It's players like Mkhi and Martial that need to step up and create.

Technically, Benzema and Lewandowski are far superior to Lukaku.
"Bayern playing with Gomez as their CF for years suggests otherwise"
And look how they evolved when he left the starting eleven.
No doubt Lewa is a better player and I'd rather sign him, but he doesn't get involved in the build up play any more than Lukaku does.

............
And both have a better football brain, and I might argue work ethic as well.
Not keen on Lukaku,myself.
Snobby that it may sound but I do like my strikers to have a very good all-round game especially for the price he's been tagged with.
He is a very good striker, but I fear what his presence in the team would mean to us in terms of the football we play and the development of our youngsters. I think that in order to get the best out of the squad we need to play with less of a target man. We have some technically good and rapid players in the team. The forwards that we bring in should compliment these players and bring the most out of them - not drag them down to their level. That is probably being a bit harsh on Lukaku, but I want us to play attractive football and I don't think signing him would help that happen.
Aubameyang would be my preferred option. I have been saying for a few seasons that we should be targeting him.
Goals win games guys. As nice as it woukd be to have an amazing all round player, Lukaku would win us games.
We have Jose as a manager. Despite what many football fans want and think about their choice of how United should play, the guy is good at playing with a target man and Lukaku suits that down to the ground.
He actually gets assists and can dribble with the ball so the idea that he's just some talentless lump is insulting to him and to anyone that has watched him
We need to be wanting players that suit Joses style rather than imposing some unrealistic ideal about what should happen.
