Can only see Mahrez and Musa leaving on that list to be honest. Cannot see Everton matching Vardys wages and paying 25 million for a 30 year old.

We've been loosely linked to some centre backs from what I have seen Maguire and Hoedt at Lazio, I know nothing about the latter but would be happy with Maguire.

We need to strengthen the squad no doubt, however we're always slow with transfers and don't expect to hear anything till the window actually opens.

We really should be hearing snippets now as other teams are doing business now ( players to join on July 1st etc) so there isn't anything stopping us apart from ourselves.

I hope that Rudkin / Shakey are working tirelessly behind the scenes to strengthen our squad as a matter of priority.

Unfortunately they as always will not release any information on transfer target's ect,
So untill the selling team starts playing hardball and releases information to the press,
The sort of players were after will be waiting to see if the big teams get their targets or come after them as their secondary target so wont commit to us untill there sure there not missing a chance of a lifetime move,

I see Keane is no longer bring tracked by man utd or Liverpool, which will drop his price back to 15/20 million

Messi on loan?
would his work rate be good enough to oust oki fromb the number 10 spot,,,,may be as a super sub?
The spoilt one ?
Well we often have to carry mehrez though games so we could possibly do the same for him, probably worth a punt, but he's use to the easy life in Spain and does he have the fight left in him to help us get top 4 &champions league the plus is he know the league abd would hit the ground running,

Keane is attracting interest from Everton apparently and they are about to table a £30mil bid.

You just know he's going to sign for them and be an absolute star.

Ideally new signings should be in place for the start of pre-season training - July 3rd I think. Otherwise we get the scenario of new players named on the bench until they have caught up with the rest fitness wise.

Now, now - Rudkin has been VERY busy overseeing the "exciting, innovative" new overhaul of our club website!

After many months of blood, sweat and tears it looks...almost exactly the same as it did before.

I have every confidence he can perform the same miracles with the playing squad this summer.

This could be our most important transfer session ever.
Without the right new players, we could be back to an annual relegation scrap. Should that be the case our club will have no more pulling power than Hull or Barnsley.
We repaired a lot of damage during the later part of 2016/17 season in terms of credibility, with our all out attack and effort.
But without a big announcement the club and especially the directors have to be questioned.

I'm going to put it out there. I'm not sure we'll lose anyone.

I'm starting to come round to the view that Mahrez has misjudged the interest in him, and nobody will want the semi gamble of big wages and fee for a player who went missing last season.

He seems happy-ish to stay, so we'll see how that one goes. Expect Gray to leave ifMahrez doesn't though! Even if on loan.

In, we'll we know a centreback will be arriving, and probably a centre forward and midfielder / striker to challenge Okazaki.

Otherwise, don't be surprised if it's a bit quiet this summer...

We've signed Sam Hughes from Chester who was chased by 5 or 6 other clubs.

Also, Leicester City have gone ahead of Tottenham Hotspur as the club most likely to sign Hull City's Harry Maguire, according to Sky Bet.

Everton agree a fee of £30mil for Jordan Pickford.

Would have liked us to try and go for him but can't see us bidding £30mil for a keeper in a million years.

STS

Why?

Everton will be the team to splash the cash and pay over the odds this summer as other clubs know the new owner has money to burn.

Plus as we still have Kasper our need is for a back up not a starting keeper.

Well, I just have a feeling that we might get another year out of Kapser but then he'll be looking for a move to a club who can at least offer CL football, and Pickford would have been great to bring in as his number two and progress him so he'd be ready to be our number one next season.

Just rate him and think he'd be good for us really.

posted on 13/6/17

Already the big clubs look reluctant to go for Kasper, most likely because of his age. Frankly, the more fool them. But I don't think Pickford would be the right player at the right time so I'm not overly fussed.

I'm more interested in the fact that Everton are shelling out £30m for him. Not only does that look like questionable value for money (he may come on very well but equally he may not) but it suggests they're ready to splash the cash a lot this summer. Which would be problematic if we both end up after the same players.

posted on 13/6/17

Or, looking at it positively, they've just blown a large chunk of their transfer budget on someone we weren't interested in.

They're about to get 100m for Lukaku plus maybe 30 for Barkley though, so I fear they will be able to outspend us if they want to.

Didn't Koeman suggest at the start of last season Walsh needed to do his job and find a keeper, seems like that position was always going to be a high priority for Everton?

Expect Harry Maguire to be a Fox in the next day or so. Would be a great first signing

I'd be happy with that. I think any one from him, Keane or Gibson would be a a good shout and Maguire looked the most likely.

Sounds like a good start to me.

Maguire would be a great buy. He is excellent on the ball and a solid defender. Fingers crossed

Looks as though it's all but done. Transfer fee agreed. Medical complete. Great bit of early business.

Great news and not too bad a price in the end.

Well done LCFC when it goes through officially.

Interesting that we've had a £10mil bid for Jonny Evans turned down by WBA. Not sure how I feel about this potential signing - Evans always seemed to be a nearly man....?
