It is depressing that Everton have made two big signings, United, Arsenal and City have all made moves but we havent, but hopefully it's no indication of how the summer will go.

They are just spending the Lukaku money on 2 players who will struggle to get in our squad.

Everton have thrown £30m at a player that's played 30 times in the top flight and brought from a championship team. That's a bit different to buying from Roma (in Salah's case) - a CL team who would be losing their 2nd highest scorer and most creative (assists) player.
We'll make signings I'm sure. It's a marathon not a sprint!
On Moreno, when a player is brought in to be our first choice and long term solution (which is how I assume he was sold the role?) it's completely understandable if he's not happy to be a squad player with a few cup games to play.
I'm not saying he deserves more based on his performances but when he left Seville he was highly rated and I'm sure he could go back to Spain and rebuild his reputation with a half decent side.
Personally I wouldn't begrudge him that.

Well let's see.
VanDijk - Agreeing a deal with the player without first speaking to the club. I suppose they can say they almost signed him.
Salah - playing lowball again. I wouldn't be surprised if someone comes in on 1st July and pays Roma's asking price.
Going back to Southampton for Tadic?
Buying potential again with Solanke.
Liverpool need to strengthen the starting 11 mainly at the back. Klopp has said that Liverpool know who their targets are and have spoken to them all.
Well hows that turned out so far?
They also need to strengthen the squad, not sell them.
This isn't a knee jerk reaction. This is me seeing same old Liverpool shopping in Primark because they don't like the prices in M&S and are not in any position to go shopping at Harrods.
Oh and I'd rather have Pickford than Karius (another bargain basement player with 'potential' ) when all's said and done.
I still like Moreno. I'd just have him knocking about Melwood on a hover board tbh.

Everyone knows the VVD transfer was a right balls up. Negotiations are apparently ongoing with Roma for Salah and I've seen nothing on Tadic other than random press speculation.
We do need to strength and I'm pretty sure we will strength. Letting unwanted players leave doesn't change that.
We're a week into the British transfer window and you're complaining we haven't made any signings. Compared to the length of the window that's like getting on the teams back if they haven't taken the lead after 7.5 mins!

Pickfords quality isn't really the issue is it. The point is that it is far easier to buy a keeper from a relegated team that have to sell for that fee, than to buy a player who was one of the best players from a top team who are CL regulars and want to push on and challenge Juve again next season. They have a little more power when it comes to how they do business. I understand you're giddy at the moment because a trillion moths have escaped from your proverbial wallets but try and think things through a bit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
At least someone got the point of the post.
What I've seen of Pickford, I like. But it's a much easier transfer to conclude. Especially at £30m.
They're solid enough signings which will no doubt take Everton to 7th.
Salah to be confirmed on Friday because I said so.

It is depressing that Everton have made two big signings, United, Arsenal and City have all made moves but we havent, but hopefully it's no indication of how the summer will go.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Everton have thrown £30m at a player that's played 30 times in the top flight and brought from a championship team. That's a bit different to buying from Roma (in Salah's case) - a CL team who would be losing their 2nd highest scorer and most creative (assists) player.
We'll make signings I'm sure. It's a marathon not a sprint!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Buying a goalkeeper who has praise thrown at him fr M Shilton and Southall(not known for his praise) must be terrible.
Then the Ajax captain.....
Tapping up is making things difficult for you and no CL football assured.

At least someone got the point of the post.
What I've seen of Pickford, I like. But it's a much easier transfer to conclude. Especially at £30m.

They're solid enough signings which will no doubt take Everton to 7th.
Salah to be confirmed on Friday because I said so.
