They must be.

Although if you're no Portuguese you've less chance of joining Rangers than they have of winning the league next year.

Maybe McInnes just didn't fancy either?

what kind of wages do aberdeen pay though is it not similar to league one in england?

how much were mcginn and hayes on a few grand a week?

posted on 20/6/17

he wants Stevie May, but I would have preferred Boyce

posted on 20/6/17

think I read somewhere that there weekly wage bill was just short of 50k

Lindsay would've been a good signing for Aberdeen . Their cbs are honking

I would be starting Reynolds and Considine myself but rate Lindsay higher than them both

The Premiership seems to be getting weaker and weaker.

Celtic swapping top class wingers for guys kicking 30.
Aberdeen weakening by losing two internationals.
Rangers signing a bunch of lads who clearly won't be able to hack it in Dingwall.
Other teams losing players who may or may not be any good.

I think it's clear that the league is falling apart without the tangerine pound.

I think it just goes to show the strength of Scottish football. So many top Scottish players go down to England and cut the mustard but you rarely ever see top English players coming up and cutting it in Scotland. I think it was Gazza who was the last top English player to make it up here. Is the strength of the SPFL just too strong or are the top English players just not good enough to cut it up here in the best league in the world?

Aberdeen ant Shaun Maloney, not sure about that one, I liked him when he was at Celtic but is 34 now

We've signed Ryan Jack. We're looking to sign Jamie Walker and possibly Kenny McLean. We've probably offered more for Walker than Boyce and Lindsay are going for.

There aren't many Scottish players plying their trade in the EPL anymore. They'd rather stay in the SPL where the league is more competitive. Hence why the decline of the EPL recently.

I really thought rangers should of went for Lindsay as back up to Alves and Cardozo and just invade Cardoso didn't work out.

Partick apparently excepted only 350k from Oxford, even if he didn't work out, you would get your money back.

Maybe we have some faith in Bates, Aidan Wilson and Ross McCrorie.

posted on 20/6/17

Don't know who those two are, but I don't need too. No team in the EPL should be losing players to the likes of burton fecking Albion. Shows how bad times are up there if players are choosing to go to crap like button over playingbin s top division.

Maloney is a good player. Always rated him more than mcgeady, shame injuries killed him.

I would take Lindsay at Leeds, if he is as good as people tell me.

Celtic were eyeing up Boyce but only as a fallback position if the Moult deal fell through so obviously Moult is Parkhead bound

When you take Moult and Hayes it is clear that Celtic are intent in hovering up the best Scottish talent

curly....if that's the plan then they are making an absolute mess of it. Not sure why they'd even be looking at Hayes, moult and Boyce.

tbh is signing an English reject any better than signing one of the leagues best players?

Sinclair and Hayes?

posted on 20/6/17

I know fan.. Sinclair was awful last season

At least he's Scottish though, going by Curly's logic

posted on 20/6/17

what am saying is Sinclair was shiete at Villa but is a top player up here, Hayes is a top player up here so why shouldn't he do well

posted on 20/6/17

Outwith Celtic, Hayes has been the best player up for for a few years now.

Honestly can't see how we're being panned for signing him as he's an improvement on Forrest and GMS (you're welcome to either btw ). He'll very much do a job for us domestically and who knows, might even prove himself to be capable at European level.

If Barry Robson and Willo Flood can get to the last 16 of the CL and perform well then Hayes will be more than capable of doing the same. Christ, Stephen Pearson managed to look good v Barca
